I am going to offer not a defense but an explanation for this kind of behavior. The fact is the left went so far with censorship and rightist realized if they want to win they have to do it to. The selfish incentive to not censor is that you will be censored but to the rightist weather they be libertarian ,Christian or nationalist in their eyes they are being censored so they have no selfish incentive to support free speech. I know you probably support free speech out of principle no matter what but most people don't. About free speech, I do support some caveats some of you would not be comfortable with. I don't think politicians should be allowed to have personal social media accounts it's a huge liability for the country. Soldiers are not allowed to express politician opinions in uniform there is some precedent for this.
