Not only that,but the same people would win all the majors and the fgc would be dying like it was for years before SFV came out.

Also, I've seen this commented but if Phil wants complexity and player expression, then why doesn't he play anime fighters? The super sweaty games are where that's at. Under nite, TFH, Skullgirls, Melty Blood. Then you got the extremely obscure shit like Punch Planet, Lethal League (arguably a fighting game), and Diesel Legacy. If he doesn't want the meta exposed then he needs to play games that don't have literal million dollar paydays on the line.
