Boomers still believe in the infallibility and credibility of institutions like media, academia, legal system. Basically if the television hates Trump that must mean he's bad.
Slight PL but (apart from the maxim of Don't Talk Politics With Your Family) one of the main reasons I don't talk to my father about some things is he has exactly that; an inbuilt belief that the institutions are Good™, that any decision made by a governing body or an institution of power had a good reason behind it, because he himself makes decisions with good reasoning when in postitions of power. It's a selective theory of mind blindness where an otherwise smart man has no pattern recognition, and can rage against how an institution makes a terrible decision or some agency-wide corruption or poisonous ideology story drops in the media and then the next day have unshakeable, unexamined faith in the decision-making processes of it and that the people in it are making good decisions for good reasons. It's frustrating.

During covid there was a shortage of building supplies now there is a shortage of skilled labor. Many industries exist that women are too lazy to do yet refuse to pay higher wages to compensate. I blame feminism.
Not to mention building regulations and permits are worse than ever. The housing crisis has an really simple fix realistically, just gut all regulations to bare minimum on a federal level, and streamline all the paperwork. That would allow much more people to just build their own houses, which many would be willing to do, but just can't cause wall of paperwork and bureaucracy put in place, just so big development companies could earn more by forcing you to buy mexican handmade made houses, built from the cheapest materials, with tiny yards, at outrageous prices

Tell me. more of this impediment. Was the character speaking weird and it started causing kids to emulate it and induce a speech impediment?
basically yes
more specifically, kids imitate shit
when they imitate a speech tick that's some fictional bullshit you can easily go "stop that bullshit you little shit" and it's done

when they imitate a REAL speech tick it's a lot tougher to diagnose and fix

iirc he slurs his "r" and "w" sounds which wouldn't be a big issue if the show wasn't exactly designed to be a thing for kids to mimic

I'd like to have proof that Social Security and Medicare are under attack. Trump has repetitively said they're not being touched. It would be literal suicide for any politician to seriously attack SS or Medicare.

I keep seeing Dems saying SS and Medicare are under attack. They never provide proof.
They don't need to provide proof.

Time is going to destroy those anyway.
I know those programs are going insolvent. But the ruling class won't do anything about it until its about too late. So 2029-2031. IIRC, 2032 is when the program will become insolvent.

Its what happened with Y2K. People knew about the bug in the 60s and before. But nothing was done until 1998 or so.

Just gut the retarded regs. Keep basic regulations like "hey don't put 20 amp wire on a 30 amp breaker dumbass" and scupper all the other dumb shit. Most code isn't followed anyways because framers, roofers, and concrete guys can't even read english anyways. It's really only the HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing guys who actually follow the rules.

Silent Generation as well. They will not believe a word you say unless they see it on the TV, or it's in a movie supposedly "based on a true story". Like it's puzzling that people can be this naive when you really don't think that way about old people when describing them at first. Like nothing you can tell them is true unless the TV says so. To add insult to injury lots of these people have FDR nostalgia and get very irate when you remotely speak out against him in any way.

Sesame Street has been shit ever since Baby Bear started causing kids to affect a speech impediment, so 1990? 91?
Pull the plug already.
Sesame Street has been shit since Elmo was introduced. The only real OGs are Big Bird, Grover, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie and a few others. Elmo took that shit over and he didn't earn his place.
