@Incecticyder I know what you mean, I just doubt Legal Mindsets expertise. It just feels like a huge leap of faith that the fantasy of some random lawyer who doesn't even practice law in the country would come true like this. It's good for clicks, it's good for views, but I think if it was actually true, Ramsey's lawyer would have some level of awareness about it.
True but what I am saying is we do not know. LM is the only English speaking lawyer with knowledge of the Korean Legal System. If there is someone else, and he has a different take than LM, I would love to hear him.
It's not like his lawyer has told him this and he hasn't mentioned it because he's denial. It seems like his lawyer(s) haven't told him about it because he's also unaware of it.
Are you talking about Smally's lawyer? He is a Public Defender. And like all PDs, he is overworked and busy (that is universal). Chances are he did not have much chance to talk to Smally. He has many case and most are far more defendable than Smally.
I'm sure Korea has it's fair share of shitheads who have threatened a waiter one week and then punched somebody in the face the next. Two separate cases, sure, but I doubt the prosecution is like, "Whoa-ho! We got you in an East Asian trap! Prison for decades for you!"
I doubt anyone gets decades for minor crimes but Smally has done many of both minor and not so minor crimes. As LM said, we CANNOT expect maximum sentence for even the deep fake but we can expect his sentences to add up to sustancial prison time. Quantity wins this time.
If that's how it works, Legal Mindset should inform the courts and the parties involved, because it seems that he's the only one aware of this legal trap that's been set.
I mean, he HAS informed Smally about this. Smally watches the livestreams. He even gave info on a charge even Smally's own lawyer did not know until the day of the hearing.
It would be the funniest outcome and of course everyone wants to see him humbled. It just seems like not the way the world works, or not how the human brain works. Yeah, sure, it's Korea and so it's different. But still. I would be surprised if the repeat offender tag is added to cases that all happened during one manic episode.
But it was not one manic episode. Smally did this in Japan and Israel as well. While SK cannot prosecute him for those crimes, they can definitely use them as examples of his rotten character. And he did spend his days in SK committing many crimes. You can argue about it once or twice, not for repeated bad behavior. It was not an one time deal.
Asian countries (Japan being a fairly obvious example) are often criticized for high conviction rates even though they aren't that out of line compared to conviction rates in other countries. Considering the sheer number of cases that end in plea bargains, even our relatively lower conviction rates don't necessarily mean much. After all, someone is only going to spend the relatively huge amounts of money to take a case to trial if they think they have a case.
A lot of the high conviction rates result from conscientious efforts by prosecutors only to prosecute the actually guilty, as opposed to the "win at all costs" viewpoint of American prosecutors.
Exactly, unless they are certain they can convict, they do not even bother charging you. That creates the impression that they are evil dictators in the eyes of those who do not do research.
I don't consider them small harmless crimes, and I doubt the businesses he's disrupted, maybe even causing them a day's income from patrons fleeing and having to spend time cleaning up instead of doing busines, consider it small or harmless.
I also don't consider invading a foreign country and treating its inhabitants with utter disrespect and deep cultural insults small or harmless. Nor do I consider the damage to our own country's honor small or harmless. I hope they throw the book at this worthless nigger ape.
IRL streamers seem to think that they can get away with murder if the make content out of it. I remember the brat who got shot and killed when he tried IRL stuff on a guy.
"It was just a prank!"
An idiot's last words.
@AnOminous you are taking a chunk out of context. I didn't say I considered them small harmless crimes, I said the media machines of the NAACP or BLM or whatever save the niggers org could spin them as such and claim Somali is being punished unfairly harshly by a foreign country if he gets a 10 year plus sentence. IF they choose to do so.
For my part I hope he gets the fucking rope or at least hard labour for 7 or 8 years but I am expecting 1-4 years combined.
I mean, they can try but he livestreamed his crimes and a lot of commentators are speaking about Smally. The only people who do not know of him are goatherds in the mountains.
-visits the korean sex slave statue again to supposedly appologize. Half hearted since he admits he knew it would upset people, but didn't expect it to blow up. Also looks anxious AF when there since being jumped is likely
He should have figured it out around the time he was arrested in Japan. Also, he admits he does not mean his apology anyway.
-demands donald trump / marco rubio save him, and that he apply SANCTIONS AGAINST SAMSUNG to save him (FUCKING LOL!!!!)
Hurt a US ally to save his short ass. I can see what he wants out of Trump, but how does the Prez benefits from this?
-says he wants to SUE legal mindset
Sue a lawyer? In another country? For what, being taller than you? He has his own problems. If you cannot leave SK, you cannot go after him. Also, he can prove everything he said about him.
-Symbolically kills himself in a video as a rebrand to ramsey khalid (wat)
I would prefer a more literal self termination.
-him and a friend of his tries to suggest that people caring about not defacing or dishonoring statues is a purely korean thing which you would never see in the united states because they "really don't care" . Also says if you aren't korean and are upset at him molesting the statue, you are just a virtue signalling SJW
I mean, he destroyed America's reputation worldwide. That is also a good reason to be upset at him.
getting ON THE RADAR is one thing, winning SYMPATHY is another. I'm honestly pretty sure trump KNOWS about johnny somali at least on a passing reference level, as well as hes facing jail time in korea, but its the same way as a mayor might KNOW about a skitzophrenic homeless guy calling him a lizard person. You might know, doesn't mean you talk about it.
I may not like Trump but I do acknowledge he's the leader of the most powerful nation on earth. The chance that he's been informed about some 2-bit shit disturber in danger of jail time in Korea who is all but unknown outside of a segment of YouTube watchers is nil.
He's got FAR more important shit to deal with and the people who prepare his daily agenda are just as unlikely to know if him. Literally thousands of people daily make videos begging The Donald for help. He sees none of them.
Yeah Johnny's probably been mentioned in a brief somewhere. Biden got told about that time traveler from the future who showed back up on Reddit the exact same day he said he would after leaving the account dead for several years. Trump probably forgot about him, Elon is thinking about how he could recruit him into DOGE.
Getting on Trump's radar is not going to help or hurt him. Trump would leave him where he found him. He has better things to do than help a troll.
