Transformers general thread - Toy Robot men based on giant robots based on previously mentioned toys about said robots

It's very odd that this optimus has an upscaled siege battle axe. Also it's funny how my initial thought upon seeing ths figure was "mp10 captured optimus' vibe better" lmao
Stilla cool figure though but I wonder what hteir definition of "more affordable" is here.
Speculation is $150-240, hopefully on the lower end.

Edit: Leaked Japanese listing is 36,080 Yen/$222, shipping will push that up to ~$250

So not cheaper, standard MP price the last several years sans exceptions like the fucking 500 dollar optimus.
Feel bad for missing out on back when MP figures were just leader or slightly higher price at the start. Thought II had a starscream from back then but I never found him when looking through my old figures. Really liked the OG idea behind MP of combining IRL vehicle, toy, and cartoon stuff to make a "definitive look" before they veered into what it became a few years back.

2026 leaks are starting up.

I am incredibly pissed off about the fact target had a sale I passed up on due to family member who was with me talking me out of it with"why do you need that tho" constantly. I explain obviously that I don't need it and that it's on sale for 50 dollars and I have a 30 dollar target gift card from over a year ago on top of gift money I never spent and the standard price is near 90 and scalpers keep buying and selling the individual figures on ebay for over 70 each. I had a last chance today to do so and once again got fucked out of it by scheduling and of course now I'll never afford it because 80 is way out of my price range fuck the world the cards probably gonna fucking expire before I ever find anything worthwhile to fucking spend it on that I can't get elsewhere for cheaper ever again. I don't NEED the figures but I wanted them and NEED to vent somewhere about this. Spent a whole ass year waiting for a discount or actual stock to show up near me and now I lost that chance. Hate it.

It was the prime cliffjumper 4 pack in case you somehow didn't know. 2 of the 3 copies they had had some form of weird defect and I know the one I was gonna buy won't be there next time I go, sick and tired of throwing every opportunity away in life to try not to emotionally inconvenience people only to then result in everyone being more miserable anyways because i'm "so negative". Hate how easy I cave under pressure to not go through with anything when someone I care about starts passive aggressively shitting on it. Not tied to the figures, just one of many examples. Probably would be in a lot better place if I didn't do that so often honestly. I fucking hate how expensive shit is these days man hate it so fucking much.
Post might be a bit incoherently rambly, I'm just kinda dying these days.

so megatron's getting delayed another fucking year?
Anyways damn hope kranix is a good/oroginal figure since the only other options are the non posable tiny statue made for the quintesson cage and only included in one box set, or the kenner style articulation impossibletoys figure.

86 Megatron is in wave 3 of this year.

Two things of note in there that jump out at me:

Prime Cliffjumper means the Target 4-pack was not worth buying unless you really really wanted Squeezeplay.

Leader class Razorclaw either means we're getting a black and purple Tigerhawk recolor, or (far less likely) the start of a new Predaking.

Also hey, new Powerglide :D

That and the clffjumper were what II really wanted, the tarn redeco was pretty nice too sans the unintentional painted on joker grin caused by fact they were too lazy to remold the head to incorporate the glowing red panel line spots from cyberverse. Apperently cyberverse tarn is supposed to be blue with the panel lines to seperate hm from the generic deceptcon soldiers that use his model so it's not even the right color panel lining lmao.
Basically three out of the 4 figures in that set were ones I wanted wth the spider bascally being a bonus. Like I said, these were figures I wanted to get for a while.

Other than the Primes, 86 Megatron, the Triple Takeover pack and the Nova reissue, I think that’s it for me this year.

My collection is mostly Optimus at this point anyway.
My stuff save for the shit that's in bins and on shelves from when I was a kid has basically devolved into variants of siege megatron and kingdom galvatron for the most part and don't know what that 4exactly says about things. I got other characters it's just the figures that use those molds tend to look good to me. Got like 5 versions of ER optimus if you count the toxitron and scourge as ER optimus since the new g2 laser prime mold is just a jank retool of that figure. Don't have the standard g2 one, just the scourge and toxitron ones. Don'thave the standard ER optimus either, but the g1 toy-ish color netflix promo one, the dead one, and the SG one (that last one has a defect in the shoulder that causes scary stress marks all over the torso whenever i transform it)

Still don't have a proper setup to display them as I want, but I'm holding out for a day when I'll be able to cycle out a display every few months or weeks like I planned to since like 9 years ago.

Lots of figures came in while I was away. Haven't gotten around to opening any of them.

Lots of reissues on that list which is nice to see in case anyone missed them or live in a country that likely wouldn't bring in many. Looking forward to a new Big Convoy but will likely need gap fillers and some sticky stuff to help with any hinges that maybe loose.

Quick edit, just noticed Kranix is on that list. That will be surprising to see what they'll use for him. Maybe a Reflector with some added bits?

My guess is he's a new mold and he'll probably turn into this or the shuttle he used to escape Unicron.

Hope so, but also hope it's not a no effort kibbleblock nightmare.

You can do something like that with Siege Reflector. Just look at how different he looks with some added bits to make Xaaron. Just retool him again and add a few bits.
One issue, he's shown pretty much consistently shorter than hot rod and kup, and is around alicon height.

I know scale is less consstent these days (especially with the ss86 optimus beng oversized to an absurd degree) but for a good while they had the general scalings of characters pretty good with some exceptions like tarn or astrotrain being a little short.

Inexplicably, this morning Amazon mass cancelled preorders for AoTP Silverbolt and has completely delisted it. I haven't been able to find any sort of communication from Amazon or Hasbro explaining why.

Edit: It is now sold out on Hasbro Pulse. Still available for MSRP on BBTS, which tends to be the best back-up option thanks to their small/non-existent markup and $4 shipping.

Good to know, Amazon has had a lot of stuff out of stock or canceled recently.
