Well Lent is the section of the church calendar prioritizing forgiveness, so I can't argue against that. He should change his online handle from Czar to Saar though.

This infographic makes me irrationally upset. I have no regrets forking TNO, goodness gracious.

It's completely rational to be sad at seeing something you cared about get destroyed. I think I speak for a lot of the community when I say that I'm happy that there are multiple forks of TNO at this point so that people can enjoy it for what it was before it was murdered by the new devs.

Please tell me this current TFR drama is just a long winded April fools joke.

If it's any consolation, the drama seems to be over. Nearly everyone left, Czar's version is practically six feet under along with the Discord and Reddit. Now the details are just being sorted out. Hope to God that is the case at least because it was pretty much the last good mod out there with a large team behind it.

It has just begun. I don't know if Afghanistan hurts them a lot harder or trying to pander to the absolutely cursed land that is India.
Like seriously Paradox, you give a focus tree to Iran and have war goals all the way up to Turkey but not against Iran's ancient rivals of Greece and Italy? Really? Come on.
There is a lot more wrong and half assed here but they didn't even bother to try with this one.

I think when updates for hoi4 end, I think I'll just autistically stick to it and try to make TNO the best it can be. I figure if people still mod Morrowind and New Vegas, then it isn't that strange. Plus I'm not confident hoi5 will measure up well, especially early on in its life cycle.

So, the tl;dr is that there was this Czar guy who's the lead dev and who wanted to make merch and a Patreon for TFR, but set up in a way so that only him and his buddies would see any of the money. Most of the devs then went up in arms about that decision and Czar started banning everyone on the Discord that disagreed with him, so the rest of the devs took down the mod's Git (source code, basically) as protests. In the end all what ended up happening is that the rest of the dev team made a new Discord server, are using another Git, and Czar is a massive faggot

There's a Second American Civil War, Russia invades Ukraine which drags the EU along with them as well, China invades Taiwan and eventually all of Asia, Gadaffi's son can conquer the Magreb, and Klaus Schawb can create a New World Order and other funny things like that.

Very unlikely. Lots of mods, even if many of them are toosers, are still in works and HOI4 has somehow never been more popular. Therefore it would logically reason that we will see more new great and trash mods.

The HOI4 workshop will become unusable once pajeets discover the existence of ideologywanking and the front page is eternally filled with variations of "Kashmirreich: what if India won the whitekrieg?"
