Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

Especially not in such an economically unstable time when there are multiple ongoing trade wars that leave execs unable to realistically predict future costs.
Where were you when Trump put a 1000% tariff on Japanese (a US vassal-state btw) products?
I was doing laundry when I saw on the TV
"Mario is now deported." -Trump
I said
"No"

Tell me a service or product that hasn't gotten worse over time or a company that decided to treat their customers better instead of worse over time?
Basically, none of them. Everything has died, raised their prices, or forced you to use an gay app or the web.
Imagine being so retarded that you are fine with companies treating people poorly simply because you don't care about said product.
Yeah, but I'm not a moralfag about it

No shit. That doesn't mean I can't talk about their bullshit practices.
Who was saying you couldn't talk about it? I don't even plan to buy the thing. I'm just genuinely curious and want to pique the brains of people who are shitting their pants over this price increases when literally everything else in their life is going up as well.

Video games are a recreational hobby. If the switch 2 is out of your price range, that's ok. You'll probably be able to pirate all of the games anyways.

I guess I would have to ask if I believe every product and service is actively worse today than it was a decade ago.

Has the quality of Mario Kart games actually gone down or are we just mad that it costs 80 bucks to play it now? I think one of the more interesting things about all of this is that the internet is complaining more about the rising price of Nintendo games than they do about the rising cost of groceries (something they actually need to survive).

It's just not realistic to think the price of everything but video games would increase. Especially not in such an economically unstable time when there are multiple ongoing trade wars that leave execs unable to realistically predict future costs.
They are bundling a Switch 2 with Mario Kart World for only $50 bucks extra. If they are suffering due to economic factors, why not just make us pay the $80 dollars for the game instead on losing out on that $30 bucks? I don't know, feels to me like they know their competition is weak to non-existent and they can price gouge because their previous console and games sold gangbuster but what do I know? I'm sure Hiroshima Toyoda at Nintendo's sales and marketing department is totally telling the truth.

They were already doing 70-80 a game. It was just in ‘get game early’ perk costing you extra money.

I’m glad Nintendo just went ‘we will be out front with it’
Nintendo doesn't do sales or discounts so it's always going to be $80-90.
"Street Fighter ı≥"? Did they run out of numbers or something?
That's supposed to be a 6

"Dont like it dont buy it" stopped working when every company in the market realized they can get away with it if they ALL do it because news flash most people here havent been buying shit like this but when faced with the option of paying $80 for a game or sitting bored in your apartment because theyre all $80 now, guess what a redditor with no self control is going to spend their disability on.
No. You don’t get to say it stopped being an argument because you are a retard with no impulse control.

My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

What the fuck are smoking? Do you think I've been happily buying $70 dollar games these past couple of years?

I barely play video games anymore and this price hiking is one of the primary reasons for it. Believe it or not, I don't want to pirate all my games, I would like to own the ones I genuinely like. I used to be able to buy a game new or used at a reasonable price and play it for hours on end, now I have to forgo it because I have to pay my bills.

This recreational hobby you speak up is shooting itself in the foot when the barrier of entry for people like me that actual would like to give our money to the people that make games we enjoy is preventing us from doing so. This isn't complex.

What a steal! Get this specific game in a bundle discounted at the price of most other games that are currently in the market! Im already getting the warm fuzzies knowing I'm helping Nintendo get through this economic hardship that is unique to their business and no other businesses or individuals. Money grows on trees for everyone else so maybe they can even raise it to $100 so we can all help them out with this unique economic issue.
Honestly im surprised other companies stay solvent giving away games practically for free at $40.

GTAVI will unironically be $100

Apart from all those eshop discounts where they crater the price through the floor. If the Physical prices don’t move just wait until you can spend the money. Or don’t spend it. Or just buy second hand which is why a lot of games lower in price in the first place.

The shops that sell the games do knock the prices down eventually, it is just a wait.

Late reaction

- I don't care about Mario Kart enough to spend any money let alone $500 on a new console. I can just fileshare and emulate
- GameChat would be cool if it weren't a paid and late version of something that has existed for a literal decade at this point. I can just run Discord on my Steam Deck if I want. Also, someone made the point that having a microphone and camera built into the console means having to replace the entire console if a component breaks. That isn't necessarily true unless it's a shitty and repair-hostile design (which I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to do) but even then with a HANDHELD console, I expect peripherals to be on the handheld, not to have to shell out extra money for some ass-ugly camera on a stick. I also don't expect GameChat to run well given Nintendo Online's track record
- GameShare is kind of cool (is this the same thing that lets you lend digital games for 2 weeks?)
- Surprised that it isn't an OLED screen. Good for me that it isn't because I'm sensitive to PWM, but I still probably won't be purchasing.
- Games supporting mouse controls = easier PC controls :)
- "As you just saw, Nintendo Switch 2 isn't simply an improved Nintendo Switch" the fact that this made it into the script means they know this is an issue, kek. Yes, a bigger thumb stick, you have really convinced me.
- PAID TUTORIAL GAME LMAO
-"Nintendo Switch 2 isn't simply an improved Nintendo Switch" >re-releases BoTW and ToTK, Switch games that the original hardware couldn't handle (predicting a re-release of that shitty Pokemon, too)
- WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL LMAO
- Ready for Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, and Hogwarts Legacy to still perform like shit
- Imagine paying for emulating Gamecube (or NES, SNES, Gameboy, GBA...)
- Fortnite with NSO will be fun to see

Nigger they are selling a tutorial for the console I'm not fucking buying the damn thing ever.

I remember I got Mario Wonder a month after release from QVC of all places for $30.48. I think for Nintendo the best deals you usually find are buy 1 or buy 2 get 1 deals
