Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

I remember I got Mario Wonder a month after release from QVC of all places for $30.48. I think for Nintendo the best deals you usually find are buy 1 or buy 2 get 1 deals
They are. And there is a lot of them.

And well because the mannuals are gone and all you get is box and cart there is no reason not to buy second hand anymore a month after.
- GameShare is kind of cool (is this the same thing that lets you lend digital games for 2 weeks?
Different. It is the DS cross play with only one cart.

NGL, the camera and voice chat features are unnecessary, people are going to just use social media and discord anyways
it's actuslly really nice to have built in because it means you aren’t running 3 programs and occasionaly pausing. It’s also easier to move round with you as all you need is the console and likely a headset with mic.

I know for a fact I don’t want to be draining and managing my phone while playing.

The fact that it took them almost a decade to do this is a crime

Apart from all those eshop discounts where they crater the price through the floor.
A six year old game for up to 33% off the launch price of $60? What a crater!
- I don't care about Mario Kart enough to spend any money let alone $500 on a new console. I can just fileshare and emulate
Will you retards stop pretending this is a decent argument? In case you didn’t notice, Switch 2 emulators don’t exist. Maybe we’ll get something that runs decently well in a few years, but as it stands now, either you play an official copy on an official system or you don’t play the game. Also,
>”WAAH WHY WON’T NINTENDO ADD SYSTEM-WIDE VOICE CHAT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE”
>Nintendo adds system-wide voice chat
>”WAAH WHY DID NINTENDO ADD SYSTEM-WIDE VOICE CHAT WHEN I ALREADY HAVE IT EVERYWHERE ELSE”

Keep milking the meat faggot.

Just get used copies of your bing bing wahoo off Facebook marketplace from a parent selling it to punish their child like a normal adult. Jeez.

The ultimate goal of making all games digital-only is to end resale. They dont give you a digital key anymore when you buy a game online and if they overprice they physical keys people will stop buying them altogether. This is why they stopped giving you the full game on discs in the first place.

I'm sure that's part of it. The biggest part of it is most people don't care about physical media. They're busy adults with limited space in their homes and simply don't put that much importance on media format. It doesn't matter if the games cost the same in both formats. Physical would still be dying. If anything this is a tax on the man children who insist on having a plastic case on full display because they want to "own" it. When in reality having a digital copy backed up over multiple drives and without any drm is actually owning something.

Holy FUCK I am fueled with pure RAGE at Nintendo.

$450 for a Nintendo console is ludicrous, but Nintendo brute-forcing game pricing to $80 and NOT just that but $90 for physical is boiling my blood to levels never seen before.

Not only are you paying an extra 10$ for physical on top of a price increase (NOT decrease) now, but it's been confirmed that some games WILL JUST BE HOLLOW LICENSES!!! (YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY)

GET RAPED BY A PACK OF FERAL NIGGERS NINTENDO GET RAPED BY A PACK OF FERAL NIGGERS NINTENDO GET RAPED BY A PACK OF FERAL NIGGERS NINTENDO GET RAPED BY A PACK OF FERAL NIGGERS NINTENDO GET RAPED BY A PACK OF FERAL NIGGERS NINTENDO GET RAPED BY A PACK OF FERAL NIGGERS NINTENDO GET RAPED BY A PACK OF FERAL NIGGERS NINTENDO GET RAPED BY A PACK OF FERAL NIGGERS NINTENDO GET RAPED BY A PACK OF FERAL NIGGERS NINTENDO AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This is some prime grade dumbshit. I don't entirely agree with the person you are responding to but physical has a major price depressant aspect due to used game sales, not to mention costing money to make and giving a cut to middle-men like Gamestop and Walmart. Those are all reasons companies have to discourage physical and, gor reselling, a reason for consumers to fight to hang on to it. But "code on disc" is 100 percent solely due to companies wanting to pay less in manufacturing. Its why the same cheapskate companies pop up in discussion of it over and over again- Take2, Square-Enix and Embracer.

June 5th release date. That's a weird time of the year.
Kids out of school. Minecraft releases around the same time for this reason.
Switch 1 had the paid tech demo. It had 2 new games but the big one was cross gen. It didn't have a camera ta all. It didn't have any voice chat at all. It not only didn't have NSO, it didn't have VC either so no way at all to play retro games. Teeny tiny third party selection since so many were burned by Wii U.
It also had ACNH and the pandemic. Nintendo hit lightning in a bottle, I think sales of the Switch 2 will reflect that.
The Fromsoft Duskblood trailer was lame garbage.
It looked like shit (graphically)
I’m at the point in my life where time is a much more valuable commodity than money when it comes to entertainment...

Yuzu was up and running less than a year after the Switch released. I'm not so fucking brainrotted that I need to play any game DAY ONE POGGIES, especially at the price Nintendo is asking and at the expense of a shittier experience. How fucking long does it take you to set up an emulator anyways that you feel the need to make a statement like that, are you retarded or something?

I was already going to skip the Switch 2 because of Nintendo's gay legal shit, and the pricing has made it a real easy decision. Just going to wait for the trannies to make a decent emulator and pirate all the games.
The state of Switch emulation has always enraged me
I remember when it first came out and some redditor got hold of a devkit console and went out of his way to notify nintendo that it existed and returned it to them and they sent him a bunch of chatchkis and ewaste as a reward.
Then theres the fact that multiple emulators exist but got taken down. Not even legal action filed, just vaguely threatening the devs was enough.

It begs the question though if there any digital-release only games have been dumped ever. I cant imagine the files are easy to access if the game is console exclusive and not on a disc.

Surprised that it isn't an OLED screen.
I forgot, that's another thing I wanted to bitch about. At these prices it should be OLED.

PAID TUTORIAL GAME LMAO
And that. Vita launched with an equivalent, built-in, for free. Granted, it seems much more expansive and high quality, but still, how fucking greedy.

It is the DS cross play with only one cart.
I forgot, is that coming to S1? If so it's the best announcement they made lmao

it's been confirmed that some games WILL JUST BE HOLLOW LICENSES!!! (YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY)
Wow, that is actually bullshit... What the fuck are you even paying for then, a trinket? Does this mean you can't even resell games?

Nintendo Fans: We want the console to do all this cool things.
Nintendo: Ok
Nintendo Fans: WAIT, WHY ARE THINGS EXPENSIVE?

I maintain that Nintendo should listen to no fan and just make a box that is not fancy. Because then we get stupid prices.
What cool things made it so expensive? Being PS4 Pro tier in power? Having magnets or whatever? If there's any cool features forcing them to bump it to $450 then I missed it, and so it must not be important, just remove it.

Is the GameCube thing mean that the games are included in the subscription service or do you have to buy each one separately on top of the subscription?

The cartridge part doesn't mean it's only a code, it means that the cart doesn't have the game in it, you have to download it after, still could be gifted or reselled

Sounds like it's included in the + Nintendo online, probably going to have a limited amount of games though
