Nintendo Switch 2 - For the Soytendo consoomers to speculate about the successor to the Switch, recently announced for 2025.

I wish they would just go back to insert game and it werks like the SNES days

Well, the Switch 2 high speed ROM carts are the current closest successors to the SNES's mask ROM cartridges. So, in many ways the Switch 2 is not fundamentally different from the SNES in the basic way games are sold and played. Nintendo systems are in fact the only systems that still use the ROM cart format, returning to that format after using optical discs for 3 generations. Everyone else abandoned them with the 16-bit generation, except for the Vita (RIP).

They are also physical copies where the cartridge just only allows you to download the game so you are pretty far off.

The physical cartridges don't actually contain the game? I find that doubtful since I know the current switch can be used in offline mode with its game carts and the games can be played without any limitations.

So, basically, we're at the point in the cycle where Nintendo is getting uppity again and, predictably, runs headlong into a brick wall.

Granted, there's not much competition on the console market, which is why they're being this openly greedy and hostile, but things can still easily backfire for them.

I look forward to them remembering what humble pie tastes like.

You're talking about the game prices? Because their prices for the system are quite reasonable for what it can do.

Search game-key card retard, who jumps in and defends shit without knowing any details.
Not all physical copies will actually have the game on them.

Have fun with that, Nintendo never drops the price on their games. Games that came out ten years ago are still full price on Switch 1. You want to play Nintendo games you will pay
I have never paid full price for a switch game, or any physical game. Normally, here retailers knock £10 off the RRP, then with cash-back deals or ebay codes or other vouchers, get another 10 to 20% of the price from there.

Specific releases won’t.

This was already true on Switch One for games like Mortal Kombat.

So some of them will then, so my statement was not inaccurate since I never stated that they all will.

Current switch carts do contain the full game since they are dumped in XCI format, which contains the full game, which is completely different from the digital distribution dumps, which are NCI.

That isn't going to be the case with all titles with the Switch 2, from what BullfrogBill posted.

Switch 2 will be a success as you can see this place is filled with consoomers, Nintendo fanboys, and even in the complaint threads about the piece on Reddit is majority comments on how the prices are fine.
They don't even give you a tutorial or manual for free and you have niggers defending it.
So many fucking soys on this sigte i wabt to kill them all

You are right about the tutorial, paying for that is just insane. Someone at Nintendo had clearly had too much sake.

I also disagree with the $80 title price. It can't be justified.

That's why I want to get a first gen console, greatest potential for a prisonbreak.

You and I are not as far apart in position as you might think.

Probably just gonna be 3rd parties for the most part, a lot of games that 100% could have been ported to switch skipped it because they didn't want to pay cartridge costs, this is nintendo giving them an official sort of mea culpa. Of course, squeenix and crapcum are the poster boys for this garbage.
Remember how oeople thuoght that crapcom was back LOL They only made a few giood games in Monster Hunter, DMC5 and Mega Man 11, then shit out a biunch ogf shit.

World is an ok game, but a dogshit monster hunter game
Rise is mediocre at best and completely carried by its G rank
Wilds is dogshit in just about every way with some of the most egregious cut, piecemeal, and dripfed content that should have been in at launch that I've seen outside of completely worthless scum like ubisoft and ea

Some games like Street Fighter 6 and Bravely Default come with carts, but they don't contain the game. Instead, you download the game to your console via the internet and the cart you bought acts as a proof of purchase, letting you play when it is inserted. It is really that dumb.

However, games like Donkey Kong and Mario Kart will have the game on the cart.
