I hate this so much. Especially when you opt for digital and it makes no difference. It's literally a download. So you can't even make an excuse about material costs.
 
450 for the console I can understand and get behind, but fuck off with those game prices. Who the fuck would buy a game-key card game anyway? It's just a digital game with extra steps. Nintendo and their stupid fucking ideas and gimmicks. I'm interested in Metroid 4, but I'm still baffled that they just released MP1 remastered and then left it at that.

The fromsoft exclusive looks like it would be pretty fun to play on a headfull. Probably the only thing I'd want to play on that system though.

It seems almost entirely for 3rd parties who want to sell their switch 2 games at retail, but also don't want to pay for cartridges. Specifically, the absolute scumfuck 3rd parties, notably the absolute savants of fucking their customers over, combining the worst aspects of japanese game dev with the worst aspects of western AAA game dev, squeenix and crapcum.

Used to have a Nintendo Switch only for the Pokemon franchise.
I was really dissapointed how the Pokemon Switch era is.
I sold my switch shortly after playing for a few times.
Sadly i do not think the the switch 2 is going to bring us something better.

Be prepared to be dissapointed.

sorry to double post, but even my fucking grandma buys into that belief, that nintendo is this bastion of anti wokeness, and she legit believes there's a cabal of journalists. media, and internet people to turn nintendo woke and make it "no longer the family friendly company they are" (which is bullshit as nintendo does edgier games now)_. Like nintendo cultists mixed with culture war shit is insane. I personally like nintendo, but these excuses and cutlure war shit annoys me, and it scares me even boomers are falling into it. The only thing I'm not really enthusiastic about is that Mario Kart World price. I'm guessing $80 is going to be the cost of major first-party games, and $70 for "smaller" ones. I anticipate enough people are probably willing to pay those prices that Nintendo still comes out ahead financially, and they still sell Switch games that came out nearly a decade ago at full price, so I'm not optimistic that they'll drop back down to $70 to be more consistent with other platforms. I guess we'll see what third-parties end up doing.

It wouldn't be as bad if they still did Nintendo Selects or something like that after a couple of years.

retards collect physical games to consoom, i collect phsyical switch/retro games to have a library after the eventual nuclear war, we are not the same (considering steam can only be offline for 2 weeks before needing to reverify your steam games)

I hadn't bothered to look up the specs until I read this, and just seeing the fanboys spaz out over how awesome it is that the S2 is about as a strong as a 12 year old console is... enlightening, to say the least.
