Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

you're 100% right, but its probably said there is a high chance this game is probably as expesinve as MKW, considering the retro gaming market bubble has bloated to extremes. The modern retro gaming market makes me sad with how much price bullshit there is

DKoldies exhibits similar pricing but more options (game only, game and case, etc).
Most older games (that a lot of people you know had), that had a fuckton of copies produced tend to stay at a reasonable price (look at how DMC for the PS2 sticks to ~20 bucks) versus lets say Haunting Ground which goes for over 5k! dollars and more MINT.

remember that microsoft got simliar backlash with the xbox one, and they backpleaded within mere weeks of that E3, but its very optimisic.
That was years ago. And XBONE had far more issues. And we are now a decade later where it turns out XBONE was just too early in what it was doing.

I'm just thankful my mother kept her N64 and gave it to me with Mario 64. I have something a lot of you may not, and it feels great!
I am also amazed at how durable this n64 is to time, plays just like it did out of the box I bet compared to modern consoles where within a year they will slow down and get messier to deal with, and all these firmware updates which ensure a console bricking or removal of features (my ps4) to force you to trade it in.

I just need a CRT :/

I still own my father's 6th gen consoles, he owned them all, even still having burnt CDs for pirated dreamcast games. I'll tell you, the 6th was the absolute peak of gaming, no other gen competes with it (or maybe i got rose tinted glasses)

Its more of a peak than it is these days. I look forward to the market crash. These companies are not prepared at all. I'm hoping Nintendo finally bites the dust, it survived in the 80s thanks to innovations and now they're penny pinching even more with no innovation.

Nintendo becomes a catalyst for the new gaming crash (or decay, where people just can't be assed anymore). Now that would be a headline.

The majority of us are old enough to be be the mom giving you our N64.

Nintendo is very good at making consoles that last forever.

i feel im the only one that never had a switch break or have stick drift, maybe im just extremely luck, no control i've ever owned suffered from that.

Not anymore with the switch. But my ds still works so I'll give them that. My wii u might as well. I can't forgive myself for losing 2 of my 3ds and having one with a broken screen that pops when I try to turn it on. Those things are over 300 now.

i had a wii u, and i think its legit nintendo's worst console, had the weakest lineup of nintnedo games (mostly 2d platformers and weaker RPGs), overpriced even worse than the switch 2 (400$ USD for 32 gb of storage and weaker than the 360), no third party support worth a damn, and the gimmick was retarded as all hell, there's a reason it only sold 12 million units. Wii U is going throught a Memberberry phase.
>yeah i member the Wii U

like i've played nintendo since the gamecube/DS/Wii days, but i swear with the massive populatry of the switch, Newfags swarm into the nintendo sphere and try to fake nostalgia themselves into like nintendo shit they never played (Mostly zoomers with their fake love for the gamecube)
Newfags ruin everything, they ruined PC gaming, and they're ruining the nintendo sphere

That also never happened to me either.

I've been with Nintendo ever since the days of the N64, and I can definitely remember when they themselves had low points. So this deal with the Switch 2, while disappointing, I can't say is unprecedented.

Sticks were always a problem honestly. But the main body and controls, still pretty solid.

And you know it’s fake cause no one really liked the Cube.

The revisionist nostalgia on it has been amazing to watch.

Makes sense also. System after massive sucsess always do worse. And even if there a valid reasons for what they did with Switch 2, majority of consummers don’t care or understand that.

my favorite 6th gen console is legit the OG Xbox, had the best multiplats versions, i absolutely loved games like Crimson Skies and Blinx, and OG Xbox Live was something magically, also i felt it had the best controller of that gen (the gamecube controller is extremely overrated)

Honestly surprised at the outcry regarding the console and games prices. People have been eating this shit for years, and now it's an issue ? People will buy all the Amiibos, classic controllers, NSO subscriptions. Have readily accepted price gauging, artificial scarcity, questionable quality (joystick drift, the Switch itself, Pokémon games etc.). Lack of decade old features and tech. This has been accepted and rewarded by people for years now, and suddenly they get pissy when Nintendo decided to capitalize on that ? Don't get me wrong, the prices are absurd, but I am with Nintendo on this one. They decided to squeeze even more money out of Nintendo fans, nothing new here.
