As for the speculation on Drexel referring to Nick as degenerate, I'm not convinced the degeneracy Drexel believed he was referring to was literal cuckoldry. The simplest explanation is usually the best. It was probably something that Nick has confirmed privately that was later revealed publicly, like him being into exhibitionism, or the fact he has to have a "field kit" of sex toys he brings on trips with Kayla to "make sex hilarious". Imagine Nick treating sex as something that needs to be "hilarious" like his godawful standup. Holy fuck that is depressing. I can see why Aaron made Kayla make noises Nick couldn't.

Let's not forget Nick and Drexel both have encyclopedic knowledge of porn actresses, enough to have "favorites", and how coincidentally Nick's "favorites" are the ones that look like teen boys. If you know he knows enough porn actresses to have an encyclopedic knowledge of them to reference the films they've been in by name, I can see why you'd call him a degenerate.
I don't disagree with your post but I wanted to point out that Nick was just fuckin lying about leaving breadcrumbs and "wanting people to know". He's just coping for getting found out.
Well to be fair, the alternative to "Nick was just being a fucking lying liar who lies", which is the simplest and most obvious answer, is that (according to Nick, the lying liar who lies, or LLWL) he wanted to leave breadcrumbs so people could figure it out, but he "refused to confirm anything" (even though he literally denied claims, once again being a LLWL) because didn't want people to actually say what they figured out out loud, because then people who he didn't want to know would see it and find out.
"I wanted you to know, but I'm mad because I invited you to know but I didn't want you to SAY it" is exactly as fucking stupid as it sounds, so it sounds about right for it to be something Nick said.
What turned Drex away is being treated like a dumbass Nick could sell any story he wanted at the spot, which proved without doubt that he's no longer a friend, but a poker chip to be cashed in later.
This ties into what Nick doing being an attack on Drexel's intelligence (and to people overall), which is of course how someone as narcissistic as Nick would treat anyone he believes is "below him", which is literally everyone. He's so smart he could come up with a ridiculous lie, and he's such a marvelous wordsmith on account of being a creative writing major faggot he'd expect you to believe it completely with no questions and bow down to his superior intelligence (lmao).
What Hraf said on a previous page about Drexel now probably going back through his history with Nick and re-examining the incident that torched their friendship for a period of time when they were younger that they eventually fixed (something I had considered, because of course you should when you deal with a pathological liar) is probably true.
