Far Cry thread - Far Cry 6 out now

The one thing I remember with Far Cry 6, well two, is Giancarlo Esposito's performance and his "Truth or Lies?" mantra. That said, what exactly is the meaning behind it? Everybody says "truth," who wants lies? What would his response be if you picked "lies?" It's trying to be "deep" with no purpose or meaning.
 
Anyone got any opinions here for Far Cry: New Dawn? I've asked about it on several threads beforehand, but people just kept saying that it was "bad" without much of an explanation. I picked it up regardless, and I've been having some fun with it, personally; haven't gotten too far into it as of yet, but the gameplay's been solid enough and the villains feel like pastiches of BLM/Antifa that the gameplay has been entertaining regardless. Was going to be meeting with the New Daw group soon; curious as to where the story goes, as while I know how the plot ends, I don't really know what happens from here to there.

What's everyone else's thoughts on the game?

I liked it although it should have been a DLC. It's pretty much like what Primal was for Far Cry 4, aka "same map layout but different geometry and environment".
The villains (the twins) weren't that interesting, they felt like characters out of Mad Max and Rage 2. The devs did have some good ideas like the Expedition mode that sends you to a handful of dedicated locations where you have to kill the bad guys, earn supplies and unlock cosmetics. It's made for 2 players but you can do it solo (that's what I did back then).

Ubisoft is having a few issues with the multiplayer achivements for FC3 but they are working on it, according to a recent post on Steam.

I just want my favorite Far Cry which is 3 to go to GOG. I don't have high hopes.

While I like 3 the best, Jason is a faggot and Ajay is the best protagonist of the post 2 series.
 
if you wanna make far cry 5 lighter you can disable the HD texture pack and you save 28GB
 
I've been playing a lot of 5, I like the fundie atmosphere...I got it cheap and for that price I'd say it's quite good ubislop.
 
Far Cry 4 got censored in an update yesterday. For one thing, they gave Ajay a loincloth at the arena and gave a female character smaller breasts and a bra when it was previously a topless scene.
For the record, this isn’t bait or a mod. I just checked. It’s real. Changes were also made to the audio files, but only the English ones. I'm looking into what else might've changed.

EDIT: They didn't change the Yuma model in any capacity. If I had to guess? They just went the Far Cry 6 route and covered all the nipples. Hers were covered by her jacket to begin with, so there was nothing to change. Kalinag's model is also unaffected.

EDIT 2: They also patched Far Cry 3 on March 31st. I haven't seen anyone talk about that yet. They may have done something similar with Citra. Anyone want to find out?

EDIT 3: Just went back to the Shanath Arena mission. Ajay is no longer naked. They gave him a loincloth to cover his genitals.

EDIT 4: Outpost Master is broken at the KEO Logging Camp. No enemies spawned. Not sure if this is a one-time error or not. Also automatically equips an M133 in a hidden fifth holster slot. My friend tells me this is a debug error.

EDIT 5: The file size of the main patch file has been cut in half. The consequences of this are likely extensive, but undocumented.

What the fuck? Who was petitioning for this?

Are they trying to torpedo their own legacy? If so...Honestly, fine by me, because at this point Ubi's only legacy to the world amounts to a cautionary tale.

Replayed Far Cry 3 since they added achievements on steam. It's an easy 100% although it was one that actually made me feel burnt out.. I ended up looting every single chest on the map thinking there was an achievement for it only to realize during the southern islands that I was mistaken.. by then I was too far in to stop so I got them all.
 
Have they fixed the crashing issues on PC yet? I stopped playing FC3 last month because the game kept crashing.
