Suggestion and Update Thread

Isn't that kind of totalitarian?

So this thread just happened (WARNING: autism, unspoilered youtube video spam, unfunniest shit I've seen from a sperg and that says a lot): http://www.cwckiforums.com/threads/...eas-favorite-child-molester.3482/#post-210070

Was there ever a rule / forum mechanic that prevented new posters from making their own threads until they'd made at least 20 posts? Between this and the other sperg who wanted to harm a kid last week (who may in fact be the same as this latest sperg), I think the forums might need some way to slow trolls down. (Also, he's back again.)
He's back again, with different user but same avatar.

Okay, update to the chatbox. There may be more issues from the new code because the original author didn't do a great job, but here's the gist:
  • You can now resize the chatbox like a text box in all browsers except IE and Opera.
  • You can now scroll up freely without the chat jerking back to the bottom every time there's an update. If you scroll down to the bottom, it'll lock in to real time again.
  • Chat no longer truncates itself after a certain amount of messages. This may cause issues with older PCs after hours of busy chat, so I may reconsider it or add in a way of measuring lag if at all possible.

AUGH YEAH

Good catch.

Fatman isn't in my smilies for forum posting, only for chat. And the CWC markup just sends it to the sonichu.com/cwcki/ main page rather than the respective article page.

Also, could you please make animated .GIFs animate?

Also, it would be cool to be able to adjust what shows up on your news feed. For example, just posts, instead of both posts and likes.

Posts from ignored members don't show up at all anymore, which is good, but it's a bit confusing how if someone quotes an ignored message that quote becomes invisible in the post, so all you see is whatever the poster wrote after the quote. Maybe when someone quotes someone you have on ignore it could mention that in the post, like "Quote from member that grinds your gears" or whatever?

In the same way a stop sign is. Or a crosswalk.

Truth is i have been a member of forums that are a lot stricter. Forums were you are under moderation for any post until you get "20 likes". Given the nature of the Cwckiforums I think a 20 post limit before starting a thread would be generous. Hell I have posted 69 (tee hee) times and only started one thread.

Totalitarian is a bit harsh of a word for a rule like that.

just my 2 cents

I have 4,149 posts and I have a grand total of five threads.
