Maaaybe some medical tech? As we do have the fancier shinier stuff but we're brain draining on that too due to outsourcing and "Let china do it" in due time. Farming gear too is all chink parts and DRM now.
And as far as software goes? We have no more fucking software firms outside of empty shell corps that are halfway houses for freelancers either - It's all jeetis and revolving door interns moving UI elements around and bloating backends forever to justify their jobs.
MUH AI is also dominated by hobbyist maker autists of all stripes and no particular roots and the chinoids yet again because they get first dibs on the 4090s they make to power it.

20 years? As we've been selling off anything we can call a tech sector wholesale and passing it all off to Japan, Korea and both Taiwans.

the actual manufacturing does not matter, the engineering of it does. All of the actual hard work is done in america, by the best engineers in the world. The prole labor is done by yellow people.
You don't own the engineering nor the rights or profits in the long run in reality however, once you hand the blueprints and the product specs for anything over to the rice goblins now you have your hard work cloned and sold back to you by middle men profiteers or iterated on til you get cucked out of your own niche you created (See portable PC spaces). That or your company quietly becomes a chinese company since all the "prole labor" is done there anyway- And the engineering slowly becomes in housed too as they vaccum pull them in.
There are entire industries who've spent decades kvetching about this and you have no recourse because you were dumb enough to hand the keys to the kingdom to them.
From CPU risers to space heaters to as seen on TV gizmos and small group maker projects who patented trademarked and thought that was enough to keep the eternal mongol from raping them.
