My bet? First emulator comes out before launchI'm just waiting for emulation for it. Hopefully it comes out before nintendo cracks down too hard on them.
Nintendo fan here, too. The price hike is a pretty tough pill to swallow, though. I'm okay with the console's price, but the games are pretty steep. I'll be consulting third party options to get the games cheaper, as I did with Tears of the Kingdom ($60, got delivered day one by the way).I'm an admitted Nintendo fan, but even I can't defend that price hike. Looks like I'll be sticking with the Switch 1 for a while until this shit hits the bargain bin.
It's good for us that he keeps all his shit in one channel, but we're his detractors. Him putting both gaming and politics takes in one channel just makes it easier for us to mine for lolcow content.I tried doing that with this thread and we've seen how well that worked out. If we moved all the politsperging to the other thread, this thread would only be at 200 pages.
In fact, this thread is a perfect example of the audience Danny has cultivated. We have the politispergs shitting everything up, people who like his Metal Mythos, the people who like his comic reviews, people who only liked his movie reviews, and the people who liked his piss poor game reviews. From what I've seen, Danny's political takes aren't accurate enough for him to be a full-time political commentator (Russia has nothing to gain from invading Ukraine) and will claim he foretold certain things without citing where or when he did it. The few times I've seen him try to, end up as Terran editing in some side-line insult at some politician he doesn't like.
It was a meme on this thread at one point how long he takes to make his Metal Mythos videos. He mentioned numerous times on stream that he was "interviewing" people close to Alice for his Alice Cooper Mythos. In the end, it gave the same information one could glean from an episode of Behind the Music. There are other channels that now do what he did but better. He doesn't play most of the games he reviews and tends to turn into DSP on stream. He doesn't make enough comic or movie reviews for those fans to really stick around.
Most of them get burned out one way or another. If they don't get burned out by his bad gaming takes, his dipshit takes on religion and politics do the job. Shit, most of us here were once his fans.My point is that Danny has managed to captivate this little pocket of people who want to hear about the nerdy shit they love but also want to have enough political discourse in their diet that they can sit at the grown-up table for the holidays. One must admire the balancing act he performs to keep both sides satiated. He's a jack-of-all-trades but master of none. He can talk a little about all of these things but if he ever tried to fully dedicate himself to one, he would crumble.
It also depends on the time period, and the 90s were a great time to be American. People had a lot of expendable cash, jobs were aplenty, the economy was great, so paying $80 for a 16-bit cartridge wasn't that daunting a task when there's money to spare.I hate the adjusted for inflation nonsense people try to use. Depending on your age, you didn't have bills to pay, and groceries, gas, and the cost of living were much more affordable. If you had a part-time job, then you had disposable income, and there were places like FuncoLand or Babbage's where you could buy used copies of games or trade in for the latest console game that was complete, on cart, and didn't need additional patches or DLC.
Hell, remasters of older games, or games made with older graphics, are doing just fine. Go look at Boltgun and the Dark Forces remaster for the proof. They're both made with the 90s sprite-graphic shooters in mind, and they're doing just fine.AAA companies could argue that the cost of development has gone up, but they literally control that (nothing is stopping them from just spending less time detailing every fuckin tree branch) and still make record profits year over year lol.
A dinosaur like Razorfist wouldn't even want to understand it. He just wants to justify physical game sales over digital; damn the facts.I feel like even if anyone told Razorfist any of this, he'd be too stupid to understand.
Me, I'm just going to wait until this whole tariff war blows over and most Switch 2 games hit the bargain bin. That's what I did for the Bethesda games, and I got Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 3, all with their DLCs, for the bargain price of $20 per game.Nintendo fan here, too. The price hike is a pretty tough pill to swallow, though. I'm okay with the console's price, but the games are pretty steep. I'll be consulting third party options to get the games cheaper, as I did with Tears of the Kingdom ($60, got delivered day one by the way).
Razorfist is asking someone about their age. RUN!Ooo yeah, lick that up Nintendo game price hike boy. Pull shit about cartridges-costing-more-while-ignoring-why out of your ass like the oblivious retard you are.

razorkike is implying that whatever the jews want to charge for whatever is ok. big surprise.Razorfist is asking someone about their age. RUN!
That is some next-level autism. I struggle to think of a single console that I hate that much. You can tell him about the massive library of exclusives the PS2 had in its day, but he'll just say it was shit. Okay, buddy... Just keep insulting people for the games they like, all the while you unironically enjoy Silent Filler 4...Him and Terran just invoked the "PS2 shovelware machine" meme for the umpteenth time while streaming Daggerfall.
Well all know he'll simp for the Soytch 2 just so long if it BTFOs his dreaded arch nemesis, Soyny.
To be fair. It’s a retarded take. But people calling Danny a fanboy for a Japanese company ignorant as fuck.
How does this faggot not understand that FF3 had 80 dollars worth of playbility built into the game, meanwhile everything today has like maybe 10-20 hours of shit to do before the whole game has pretty much been completed. DipshitOoo yeah, lick that up Nintendo game price hike boy. Pull shit about cartridges-costing-more-while-ignoring-why out of your ass like the oblivious retard you are.

He also won't address the fact that Nintendo made a domestic Switch 2 model that's $100 cheaper, and that they made the American version $100 costlier because of Trump's tariffs. Because God forbid he turns against the tribe now, even though the presidential tariffs are having a real-world effect on game prices.Well all know he'll simp for the Soytch 2 just so long if it BTFOs his dreaded arch nemesis, Soyny.
Not only that, but FF3 came out at a time when the average college grad could probably provide for a family of four. So buying an $80 video game is basically pebbles to them 25 years ago.How does this faggot not understand that FF3 had 80 dollars worth of playbility built into the game, meanwhile everything today has like maybe 10-20 hours of shit to do before the whole game has pretty much been completed. Dipshit
RIGHT?! Fuck you if you want a physical cop of the game you can play whenever. No you can only play the game if you pay 89.99 up front for a full year membership instead of going month for month, like we used too. Holy fuck, the shit full year membership drives me nuts.not to mention that FF3 was a finished game (there were bugs, but no one really noticed them back then because they weren't game-breaking), that came on a cartridge that came in a box that was shipped to a store. now it seems like 80% of the switch section at any box store is where you buy a laminated piece of cardboard with a code on it so you can download the game (better hope you never lose access to that account because you'll have to re-purchase the game if you want to play it again after that)
I miss the old days when most games shipped completed in a copy that you can buy at a store, lend to a friend, and then get back. Yet that practice of downloading a game, let alone parceling it out piece by piece for DLC, was another fruit of what Razor called the "westernization" of gaming. He whined and bitched at the Japanese game devs who were traditional and did things by the book, but back in those days, they shipped their games complete and on the disk/cartridge. Now that's slowly getting replaced with the western practice of game devs who can and will sell it online only and parcel out a game piece by piece for DLC content. The Japs didn't start doing it until they saw the West do it. Prior to that, they shipped their games finished, on time, on a physical copy, no questions asked.not to mention that FF3 was a finished game (there were bugs, but no one really noticed them back then because they weren't game-breaking), that came on a cartridge that came in a box that was shipped to a store. now it seems like 80% of the switch section at any box store is where you buy a laminated piece of cardboard with a code on it so you can download the game (better hope you never lose access to that account because you'll have to re-purchase the game if you want to play it again after that)
It also incentivizes people to quit. I know one guy (who I do not like) who teaches BJJ. He brags about this being his business model. He'll sign someone up for 6-12 months and stretch the shit out of them, until they do not want to come back. Run them ragged, stretch them, but don't actually teach them anything. 9/10 people quit and he gets to collect a number of months tuition for free. I suspect the same principle applies to a lot of businesses that sign people up for extended periods of time.RIGHT?! Fuck you if you want a physical cop of the game you can play whenever. No you can only play the game if you pay 89.99 up front for a full year membership instead of going month for month, like we used too. Holy fuck, the shit full year membership drives me nuts.
Powerleveling shit, but BJJ gyms do that crap, where they lock you into a full 6month or year long membership. So if it's not for you in the first month the 5 months after you have to pay for not learning anything. Sorry, that full year membership stuff drives me fucking bonkers.
Maybe because Sony's hardware is stronger? Maybe Danny-boy needs to consider that? The PS5 is the second-strongest console spec-wise in the market right now, only surpassed by the Xbox Series X. That, and it had more games to play.And....called it. As usual, it's just Soyny living rent free in his head to justify defending Nintendo's horrendous revealing of the Switch 2. Even makes room to suck off Microshit.

It's that selective memory of his kicking in. Soyny fucked up big time during the launch of the PS3 and paid dearly for it when everyone said fuck them and picked up an Xbox 360 instead. They got a lot of shit for it. The reason most people bought a PS5 over the series X is because of the dogshit library. Now I do think the PS5's library is a steaming pile too, but the Series X was somehow worse. Hardly any exclusive titles, and their exclusives just didn't interest most people. He's beginning to forget things that we as gamers knew 15 years ago
Exactly. Razorfist saying that Sony was immune to the persecution Nintendo faces now is him being ignorant of the fact that the gaming public tarred and feathered Sony over the PS3's price tag. Not to mention that one of their exclusives was Metal Gear Solid 4, a game with movie-length cutscenes, which pissed people off even more. The gaming public doesn't like being served overpriced baubles, and Sony felt their wrath when the PS3 came out with a $600 price tag. It's that selective memory of his kicking in. Soyny fucked up big time during the launch of the PS3 and paid dearly for it when everyone said fuck them and picked up an Xbox 360 instead. They got a lot of shit for it. Sony fanboys were on the defensive during the 7th Generation as Nintendo and Xbox fanboys ate their lunch. Right off the bat, the Wii and the Xbox 360 had many great launch titles and continued to have many games, while the PS3 at most had to rely on third-party games that the other guys also had, as well as a few exclusives that weren't as successful as their Wii and 360 counterparts.it's just him not acknowledging or deliberately ignoring times when people were critical of Soyny so it fits his narrative of "Everyone is a SOYNY fanboy!".
Vavra being a gay Jew who hates Christians should've pissed off the would-be Christian Danny-boy. They even added in story points where the Christian Henry gets disparaged by a Jew AND a Muslim in the story. Then the dude could get raped in one of his sexual encounters by a woman. They literally cucked this Christian main character while heathens openly told him that his religion sucks and his people are barbaric, backwards savages who kill innocents. The same way he ignores Western games going woke over a decade ago so he can now point to China as the main proponent of pozzed games in the West. It's funny to me how even his beloved Kingdom Come developer has pozzed his game and told anyone that was critical of it to go fuck themselves. Wonder if Razorfag will come up with another conspiracy theory that the developer was instructed by China to add fag relationships to their game. Despite the fact that Warhorse studios and their publsiher Deep Silver has no ties to any Chinese companies. Especially since the developer has been critical of China and GOG when they removed that Devotion horror game from their store, and Razor was going "Wow, he's so based!" and liked his twitter post. And I recall how he would constantly suck off the devs and the first game on his stream. Now that same developer has lifted the finger at many former fans of the game.
