I could NEVER imagine a Japanese girl, let alone an 18-year-old one getting facial piercings. That would've turned heads all over. The most rebellious Japanese you'd see would be ganguro and even then, it was sort of a signal of being in a clique. No clique in Japan I can think of would have facial piercings.
