People Are Choosing AI Sex Workers Over the Real Thing

They don’t sleep, eat, or age—but they’re making serious money. AI-generated sex workers and influencers are quickly becoming some of the highest-earning digital “creators,” raising messy questions about the future of intimacy, labor, and what we actually want from human connection.

Unlike real women who spend hours shooting, editing, and promoting their content, these digital babes are built with text prompts and AI image generators, and—behind the scenes—often run by anonymous tech-savvy men. Creators of AI influencers can earn a ridiculous amount of money, without ever stepping in front of a camera.

So, what’s the appeal, exactly? Perfection. These bots are designed to match specific fantasies. Insanely unobtainable body types, flawless skin, limitless stamina. They’re always on, always available, and built to be exactly what the consumer wants. They never say “no.” It’s sex work without the human limitations—and that’s exactly the selling point.

It’s no surprise this business is booming. The AI sex tech industry is projected to hit $30 billion by 2030. It’s not just the tech that makes it profitable—these apps charge users for access, require almost no physical overhead, and sell your personal data by feeding it to advertisers. With minimal costs and maximum scalability, it’s a goldmine model designed for rapid growth.

THE HOTTEST SEX WORKERS ON THE INTERNET AREN’T EVEN REAL

But while these bots rake in cash, their impact on human relationships is already showing some cracks. “Some difficulties may come about if real encounters are profoundly disappointing because they don’t match up to the strictly defined requirements that users experience in AI porn,” one researcher told the BBC. When your ideal girlfriend is a flawless digital fantasy, real people can start to feel…”blah.”

Still, the human touch isn’t obsolete just yet. Influencer marketing remains a $21.1 billion-dollar industry, with Gen Z leading the demand for authenticity. People still trust human creators, especially when it comes to sex and lifestyle content. We want to see and feel the nuance, spontaneity, and unpredictability of real lives. This just can’t be coded.

It’s hard not to feel a bit terrified about where our world is going. Now that AI is becoming alarmingly good at replicating “human” characteristics, it’s a fine (and very blurry) line between fantasy and reality.

“Sex and technology have always co-evolved,” says University of Sydney’s Raffaele Ciriello. “Just as prostitution is ‘the oldest profession,’ porn sites are some of the oldest corners of the internet. However, the dystopian potential of sexbots for mass-customized, corporate-controlled monetization of our most intimate sphere is unprecedented.”

As AI continues to seduce users with perfection, human creators are now in serious competition. And as of right now, both are making bank.

I haven't seen or been shown any proof that this AI porn makes money, all the sites I seen are losing money or barely breaking even, civitai is always on the verge of shutting down, all the AI porn patreons have only around 5-10 users which I guess is them following each other to pretend there's traffic. Haven't seen anyone on the internet saying "yes I pay for AI porn (like a retard)" and really barely anyone pays for real porn now, why pay for something you can prompt? let alone the constant wave of AI slop means there's more stuff than anyone could possibly watch already available for free. Those numbers are classic forbers pulling shit out their asses.

If this isn't about chatbots then really, how much of a boring unlikeable idiot you have to be to lose to a glorified markov chain? LLM can barely keep a coherent convo going.

We had a thread earlier about the huge rise in female users for smut chatbots too.

It’s good enough apparently.

Here’s one: Link
I believe it, that said it's not some new technical terror... it's just people reading smut. You would need to be chris chan levels of autistic to feel like you were interacting with a real person.

The real question is how many users of these AI bots actually live in places where prostitution is not only legal, but easily accessible. Which would give a better picture of if users prefer AI to real women. Personally I'm gonna say no. Until then, asking the question of which do they prefer is a waste of time.

Any female born after 1993 can't cook... All they know is McDonald's, charge they phone, be bisexual, eat hot chip and lie.
Yeah, that's why those poor losers whale on OnlyFans models: because women born after 1993 can't cook. Give me a break.
This is Vice. They're not feminists, they're rapists who are sad about coomers choosing to not rape real women.
I'm afraid you don't understand that the kind of sad sack who pays an OnlyThot to respond to his DMs is not the kind of guy who wants to rape women. They do this because they want female companionship. If they were in it for rape they wouldn't move on to AI they 100% know is not real and incapable of being raped by them.

If I am paying for sex, I expect more than just text or whatever the fuck is going on here. I can get bitches to talk to me for free. Too bad I don't want to hear their stupid shit and instead just want to fuck them. No, I don't have the patience of ability to pretend to give a shit about what they are saying so they will fuck me.

Never forget Lucas Werner and Russell Greer. There are certain people who are so appalling in looks, hygiene, and personal behavior, that even a prostitute will not touch them for any amount of money. When asked, "Can I thrust my fist all up in your guts and put my telomerase up your wazoo?" the AI Bot always responds with "Oooh, all this hot talk is making me horny, tell me more, Sexy" instead of spraying him with mace.

I also thought I read something about Asian women going crazy for some AI Boyfriend Experience chatbot game just recently. Having a big fan meet-up and party on one of the characters' birthday and fighting over their husbando or something. I believe the game was mostly romance chat but with adult situations if the user wanted, and the article described the women telling the bot their problems and getting supportive "that must have felt bad" messages in response and such.

I dove into the sex worker rabbit hole on Reddit, and so many of these women are clearly not right in the head and hate their clients with a burning passion. No money is ever enough and the clients have to traverse a minefield. They pretty much expect to be able to do a full background check on you, get all of your personal information, your work details, bank statements and after that you’re still gonna get barely any service.

The funniest part is when they claim to be “luxury escorts” but then you to their reddit profile and they look like a fucking middle aged crackhead that you wouldn’t touch for free.

Relationships are pretty much dead for a lot of people. Sex workers are insufferable entitled cunts that want to scam everyone. Is everyone surprised that AI sex work is a thing?

The stripper subreddits are pretty funny for this kind of content. It's amazing to watch these "progressive" women spew the worst kind of vitriol you can imagine at their clients, most especially towards their black or indian clients.
