It's totally intentional. It's a guy who has spent a long, LONG time in front of a mirror, or with a camera taking selfies, trying to figure out the exact facial posture that will make him look as open, nonthreatening, and welcoming as possible. To me it signals "majorly neurotic."

Hasan spoke at a Pro-Palestine rally today. He didn't prepare a speech and only talked for about three minutes.

You have people getting black-bagged in the street, disappeared for the crime of speaking the truth. And that is, and that is precisely the reason why you demonstrating here matters. We must never allow these fascists to take away our voice.

Even if people don't recognize, even if people don't understand that one day they might be the ones who get black-bagged and sent to a slave labor colony in El Salvador, without due process. We will fight for them, too! Because every single person here understands the fundamental truth. None of us are free until all of us are free!

So, uh, and I wanna end with that and say, free Mahmoud! Free (unintelligible)! Free all of the political prisoners! From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free! Your voices will not be silenced!

While mingling with fans after his speech, some absolute schizo works himself into a frenzy, screaming political slogans and Allahu Akbar multiple times.



After the march, the schizo catches up to Hasan so he can better explain himself. Fortunately, Hasan has an excuse to ditch him when he sees Congressman Al Green walking the other way. Sadly, after he finishes talking to Green, who didn't know who he was, the schizo resumes his spergery.



Hasan feels he needs to do a better job of educating his fans on how to behave appropriately at protests.

That's Sam Seder? I remember him trying to make it as a comedian and showing up in small films/pilots with the Mr. Show crowd. I had no idea that he went into the field of lefty talk show host.

Watching that second video, it's no surprise Jon Benjamin got like eight TV shows and Sam went on to be the third rung down the line for a fake internet news network. I guess it's unfair to compare the two considering the script probably called for Seder to be stoic, but seeing the way JB just chews up the scenery and Sam is a total plank of wood.

It's also been a bit since I've seen the "River to Sea" slogan. I assumed most Pro-Palestinian Westerners realized that it wasn't helping them to shout a call for an actual genocide. Somebody should ask Hasan what would happen to all the Israelis and Jews between that River and Sea if Hamas took over it.
