"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

We've never received a donation from any e-celeb, ever.

Milo Yiannopolis bought a KF t-shirt. He's the #1 e-celeb supporter so far.
Do you put any stock in famous people secretly using the site? I find it hard to believe there wouldn't be at least 1. Celebrity is gay as fuck, but it would be cool if you got a million dollar donation when Clint Eastwood passes, because you let him call people zipperhead.

Re. Adolescence, there's a troll account I follow who offered a review:

Based on his[?] previous work, he seems to be pro-Israel [or at least anti-Palestine], anti-tranny [there was an arc in which he identified as a mollusk], and likely British.

I’m fairly confident every internet famous person uses Kiwifarms. Which is like the diet soda of famous person.

you're too afraid to even say who you're talking about so I don't know what you want from me.

nobody helps us. nobody famous has ever actually helped us. when we raise $150k, it's from users who work jobs, not saudi millionaires, not celebrities. when we get a network architect that finds us VPSs to keep the site up, he's a just a stoner who happens to be into bossmanjack. when we get a lawyer, it's not from the EFF, it's some guy from Kentucky who thinks our situation is funny. when I'm up at 4am working on our failing ddos mitigation, the guy suggesting to put shit into a fucking ramdisk to make it actually work is just some dude who posts about crypto on the kf.

Did Destiny bankroll the Kiwi Farms? No. Did Turkey Tom support us with the hundreds of thousands of dollars he made off our threads? No.

The best we get are kind words. A VTuber says 'dear feeder' or mentions DropKiwiFarms. Mutahar talks about how gross Keffals is. Hambly is against deplatforming. But that's not what keeps the forum up. It's been the users, who are just random fucking people.

And quite frankly, anyone who decides we should be censored because I made fun of their coffee business (light roast, mind you - all I said is that it was a saturated market and a bad decision!), then that's on them. They wouldn't have been an ally anyways, because guess what happens? If I'm not the one showing cold indifference, it's the rest of the forum, which continuously attacks any e-celeb that tries to warm up to us.
I wasn't talking about anyone in particular. It's more that this happens consistently every time anyone shows the tiniest morsel of affection for you. The second they get into a controversy, you will briefly skim the forum post and people's reactions to it and from there form your opinion, often times not getting the whole story and and then being excessively rude on top of it. And yes, I am aware that the forum is supported solely by its users, much to its own credit, and the rogue's gallery of people you've accumulated by happenstance or coincidence that help you continue to exist. My point isn't that you need to shill, it's that kindness and compassion go a long way. Yes, you are dealing with evil scum that wishes to destroy you, rape and mutilate our children and they think its funny, but is the answer to be even more brutal and more cruel? To your enemies, fine. LFJ is a known unstable quantity, the British and EU governments are completely captured, there isn't a reason to pull punches when discussing them or their actions, but that doesn't mean that for every person that has a fuckup or posts something embarrassing you, Josh, the owner of the forum, head of USIPS, and spearhead of this movement, need to sink to the lowest common denominator forum poster's opinion. If you want to be a leader, lead.

To your point on Quarterings business, I said that I appreciated your nuanced opinion on it, and I hope you treat others in the future with similar decorum. Your biggest problem is that you talk about others the way a forum shitposter does and, to your credit, it has a certain charm, it's honest and I think it's partly why a lot of people enjoy hearing you talk about things. However, I think it is also incredibly detrimental to your ability to find people that would want to work with you. I think most people, especially in this age, understand there is a difference between a 'creative' and their audience. For the sake of the argument, you are the 'creative'. The problem comes, is that you end up either reiterating a lot of what your audience is saying, or more times than not, you end up completely spewing something completely ignorant or mixing up people and events in your mind. Which, in fairness, is a human thing to do, but you do this incredibly often, effectively every week about one story or multiple, and now on top of being the incredibly inflammatory shitposter that you are, you are also wrong. Which pisses off whoever the story is about while also pissing off the fans of the original person and people who are watching you who know the full story.

For example, a couple weeks ago you discussed a story about the mouse vtuber getting dunked on twitter and you got your shots in, and later, while discussing with my friends about it, I was informed that you never mentioned a huge key issue; one of the biggest problems this poor girl is facing, is that her exboyfriend is posting her nudes from when she was a minor all over social media, and now others are constantly reposting it on her different social medias. Now, this is an extreme example, but you totally pilloried this innocent girl just because she's a vtuber and you don't like anime so fuck her and fuck nuance, she deserves to be slapped down. I share your antipathy towards anime and vtubers, I also find things like lolicon and shotacon fucking disgusting and revolting, but to so consistently unfairly smear hundreds of millions of people as potential pedophiles, insinuating that they all must secretly or openly love what you call effectively CP, like what the fuck are you doing dude. This is your version of the tate-followers saying that the 19th amendment was a mistake and you need to repeal. Now, are the anime lovers as big a demographic as women, obviously not, but to sneer at them all while casting yourself as a moral exemplar because you don't watch fucking cartoons is ridiculous and doesn't win you anything but scorn and people dismissing you out of hand. These people are people who more than likely share your opinions on the Internet, because a ton of people from yester-decade grew up on the Internet watching and discussing anime on 4chan and other places. They remember that era of the Internet and your message resounds within them too, but then you irresponsibly label them as a pedophile because they have fond memories of a television show they watched when they were younger. And this is just the biggest example, you do this time after time with so many different people, you constantly just write off whole groups of people because of their hobbies or interests. Why? You go after and criticize these people saying things like "How does caring if Star Wars is blacked help protect the Internet and free speech online and stop debanking?" and that's a fair question, but what does it serve you to so antagonize people like that? Do you really think diehard fans of these franchises will see your message and suddenly go "oh man! I just didn't think about it like that!" You're just alienating people needlessly, how does telling 40k and Star Wars fans that actually you should just let your hobbies be ruined and destroyed because we need to reprioritize to what you think is most important actually help you or your movement. Personally, I think your critique is right, the cultural war is most a screen for the actual important issues like debanking. But to most people, their hobbies and interests are important to them and you telling them that they mean nothing and their retarded for caring is stupid. Richard Spencer tried this back in 2017 by telling people that football was effectively another opiate of the masses and that in order to achieve their movement, they need to stop watching it. Was his critique correct, I think so. I think most sports and media are more or less a part of the bread and circuses mantra, but the point is that you can't take away or try to demean people's circus and expect them to listen to you or want to follow you.

All I am asking for is that you either read up a bit more closely on stories before you talk about them, especially ones concerning people that might actually maybe want to help you, but I would also say that it might do you good to try to offer the alternate perspective and try to give a reason as to why someone might do x or y and overall just be nicer, kinder, and more compassionate towards other people. Now, of course these ideas are not capable of being done for every situation, nor should they be. Destiny's dick sucking videos getting posted around does not need some sort of nuanced opinion and a rationale on why Destiny recording people without their consent could actually be good or something equally retarded. I would however say, that you have become incredibly jaded over the last five years and its bleeding into everything that you discuss. You don't even try to give the benefit of the doubt anymore or try to offer some sort of explanation or when the main character of a story tries to offer an explanation you either don't care or haven't read it and won't.

Lastly, I would say it's not a binary of cold indifference or radical beatdown. If you believe that cold indifference is better for maintaining relationships with people, I would disagree. I would say having a genuinely nuanced opinion where you do your best to explain both sides of the story is a lot better. Specifically because it distinguishes your take from that of the forum and it allows you to make distance between your audience and your actual opinion. For anyone else, a recommendation would be to just say something to your audience that at least allows you to claim you're not supporting their actions, but this is KF and you saying something even remotely to that effect would be more detrimental than if you had just featured it.

Yesterday I had an epiphany. I realized I actually fucking hate KF stickers.

A post of mine got a couple of negative reactions and I actually felt bad about it, and got kinda frustrated and wondered if I should make another post, but then I a good positive/negative reaction on the post and felt better. -- and then it hit me like a brick: "You're worried about stickers on KiwiFarms, Not just the individual fucking stickers but the mathematical ratio of them."

I come to this site to be a dick for fun, and watch other people act like dicks because it's funny. But I still worry about what updoots I get. And it isn't even my fault because on a primal, instinctual level to collect good resources, avoid loss and gain social approval, and fucking updoots combine all those primal needs into one convenient package. It's how every major social media site keeps users engaged. Human psychology is almost completely fucking helpless to this. It's like tiny little dopamine drops directly into your cerebral cortex and unless you realize it's happening you can't fucking resist it.

It's the fucking banana stickers episode of Metalocalypse.

I laughed at this as a kid. I thought it was hilarious that a bunch of grown men were obsessed with getting validation from fucking banana stickers, and now it's literally every single person on the internet, including me and you.

I would agree with this. There was one time Null did a full bit about a proud black man's Hi-Point self-disassembling and scattering to dey winds. This caused my wife to nearly go catatonic with laughter, and she ended up shattering one of my crystal whisky tumblers. Josh never acknowledged it, and I still feel weird about him to this day.

Nigger you don't have to write a twelve hundred word screed asking jannie jewsh why he is fucked up. He runs a gay gossip site that's under attack from every group imaginable and he's bitter as fuck over it. He views everybody as low effort faggots making mountains of easy money and himself as the grand martyr of the Internet.

The money they make should be his money. The influence they have should be his influence. Null should be the one with the McMansion and leased GTR and BPD pussy :(
I don't want to believe this narrative, though I know Josh has alluded to this type of jealousy before, and I empathize and understand it. However, if Josh's motivations are simply spite and jealousy than I think his movement and this website would have collapsed long ago. I do think Josh has a bit of a martyr complex, but I would counter that he's earned that, though I think he would say that it was done to him and that he had no ability to counter or prevent what's occurred whereas I would say that I think there were more than likely several bridges he's burnt that didn't have to be and maybe if those bridges weren't burnt he wouldn't be such a pariah.
yeah but this guy is cool, though.
unlike turkey tom the troon lover.
I think Turkey Tom was a bit of a missed opportunity for Josh. Unless there's new lore I am missing, while I also do not like Turkey Tom's penchant for saying things like "her prostate" I think its unfair to criticize him for it when he literally has Neal Mohan's shotgun pointed at his head at all times, and if he slips up even once, he could lose his entire livelihood. Does that make him a coward? Maybe, but I think it's easy for us, and even Josh to say that when none of us have a successful YouTube channel with millions coming in annually. We have nothing to lose by saying the truth, whereas Tom has literally everything to lose. I think Josh might've been able to play his cards differently and maybe ingratiated himself into that kind of ecosystem he might be better off now.
I dont know where you get this.

Josh was a big fan of the dick show. When the simperacy happened Josh told dick not to interact with his thread over twitter.

I remember working in the garden listening to josh "Defend" ralph after the pill stream where he said and I m paraphasing here.

"I like ralph, and I dont think he needs his own board, zedan left, and I dont think there is anywhere for ralph to fall he's hit the floor."

Then the fucking faith vickers arc happened.

He even paid his respect to fucking nick rekita about how nicks hosted him and defended the site at one point.
I don't think Josh has always been so jaded, I would say that since #DropKiwiFarms and the Vinny lawsuit Josh has gotten more and more jaded and less and less willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. Both of these examples iirc are before either of these events.
Don't forget Nick Rekieta promised multiple times he would help out the forum and financially support the forum during the height of his career when he was raking in millions. He never did afaik.
I do not believe that Rekita ever promised direct financial support, though I could be wrong, iirc the only thing Rekieta ever promised was that he would always support the forum's existence "no matter what" because he "didn't care" about what people said about him on here.
bro i am sorry but i am not fucking reading that
Of course not, child. Too much reading for you and you might realize you are going to go to be locked up forever child! The only way you are capable of maintaining your fantastical grip on reality is by being in pure ignorance, child. Which is why you cannot handle reading my strong, compelling, and richly written arguments, enjoy prison.

THE STICKERS HAVE ALWAYS REMINDED ME OF THE BANANA STICKERS!
especially :lunacy:

bro i am sorry but i am not fucking reading that
Tl;Dr he's saying be nicer to people who could help you and do more research into people before stringing them up in front of your audience, as you may end up doing real harm to mostly innocent people.
At least, that's what I took from it.

Whether or not you agree with this is an entirely different matter.
