If you want to make a Euro seeth, just tell them you have no interest in visiting their country(...)
This is very easy for me since I've never had any interest in visiting any other country on Earth. Why the hell would I want to go from my country full of fat, ugly, and stupid people to another country full of thin, ugly, and stupid people?

While I agree with you and the general sentiment of the post. I want to make a point that the switch price has nothing to do with tariffs and everything to do with Nintendo's absolutely retarded decision to over spec the system because they want to reach a new audience, nintodlers are not that audience. The switch 2 has a 1920x1080 display with HDR10 support, and VRR up to 120 Hz. That display is better than most Americans TVs/computer monitors/phones and better than the steam deck. That's going to effect the cost a lot before even adding on the GPU which is custom built in collaboration Nvidia.

Based on specs the switch 2 isn't competing with the switch 1, it's competition is the steam deck, PS5 and PC. It's no surprise the price is higher than expected without even factoring in NoA greed. Just look at the launch titles, they're all current gen PC/console titles and not first party/Nintendo shit. The spec's of the switch 2, price and lunch titles tell me Nintendo is no longer confident that they can be 'the' handheld gaming company, they don't/can't compete with the mobile phone/gatcha market so they want to enter the console/PC gaming market instead so they made a product that is aligned with that price included.

OT: I don't believe for a second that the tariffs affected Nintendo pricing decision. Yes it's produced in Vietnam but Vietnam has already made trade agreements to lower tariffs to 0 making the US do the same. Trump's tariffs haven't been in place for even a week so no one outside of people working inside of imports or similar jobs has been impacted yet and complaining otherwise is just bull shit.
The price was decided months if not years ago. The tariffs didn't affect anything. What MIGHT have affected things is every single soyboy in America going "$90 and it's not even a real physical cart, it's just a shitty license key on a glorified SD card and you still have to download the game? lol fuck that" at the exact same time.

1. That’s not how NoA works. 2. The consoles are manufactured JIT. Retailers order the systems ahead of time and they get them as soon as Nintendo makes them. There’s no warehouse somewhere with a million consoles just sitting around.
Wrong, my uncle works at Nintendo and said the reason the Switch 2 got delayed is so Half Life 3 can be a launch title.

The very first boomers didn't turn 21 until 1967. Then, as now, people in their early 20s were not a significant voting bloc. Voting age was lowered to 18 in 1971, which added more Boomers to the voter rolls, but they weren't a large cohort of voters until all the 50s kids were voting, which took until 1978.

Also, a generation doesn't have real power until they have money, and you just don't have much money until you're about 40, maybe mid to late 30s if you're lucky. The first Boomers turned 40 in 1986, and the last Boomers turned 40 in the 2000s, depending on where you say the cutoff is. So that makes the period of maximum boomer cultural influence the 80s and 90s. Most people just think Silents are Boomers, or they think the 60s radicals were Boomers because their Boomer parents loved their music as teenagers. David Lee Roth is a Boomer. David Crosby is a Silent.

The median Boomer was born in 1955. He was 8 years old when Kennedy was shot and 14 when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, same year as Woodstock. He turn 18 years old the year Nixon ended the Vietnam war in 1973. He graduated college in 1977. He probably had his first kid in 1980, at the age of 25. In 1995, at age 40, he made it to middle management in a large company, divorced his wife, and remarried someone 10 years younger. In 2003, he was 48 and a little concerned about his son coming home safely from Iraq. The '08 crash freaked him out because, at age 53, retirement was looming. He then finally did retire in 2020.

You essentially have your entire concept of Boomers shifted backward by about 10-15 years and are mostly thinking of Silents.
Your analysis is otherwise pretty good, but draftees during Vietnam were mostly boomers.

The draft has a maximum age limit and skews younger even within its age range. 19 and 20 year olds were drafted at much higher rates.

There's an important difference between whether or not the median boomer went, and whether or not the median draftee was a boomer.

Countries come in different sizes, news at 11
You seem like the kind of person to talk if there's a brief moment of silence just for the sake of filling it with noise.

There is a lot of cool looking things in Europe but the unfortunate part is you'd have to interact with and be around Europeans to see them. I would love to see classical architecture in England or remanants of the Roman occupation there, but I would sooner invite bedbugs into my home than voluntarily deal with a Br*toid. I cannot imagine France and Germany would be any less insufferable.

The media is pushing eating less, even without a blockade.
Haha, good one! In case anyone doesn't check or get the joke, it's a funny girl group music video about losing weight, originally from the soundtrack to a movie that as far as I can tell had dieting as a theme, but I never watched it. In any case it was a comedy and came out years ago. It's totally unrelated to current events and not a serious public health campaign.

You could go to Bath, I’m sure the browns avoid it

The Nintendo Switch is no more competing with the Steam Deck than the Toyota Land Cruiser is competing with the Ariel Nomad.

ETA: Europe is overrated. We have the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Monument Valley, Yellowstone, etc etc etc. You could dedicate your life to seeing all there is to see in North America and not get 25% through it.

The best things to see in Europe are the things built by the churchmen and imperialists that modern Euros are positively embarrassed about. Nobody gives a fuck about Mohamed's kebab truck or your NHS, faggots.

This is interesting. Did the government quietly change course afterwards or did they continue to bring in African students, if that's known?
There are still complaints about special treatment for imported Africans and their "relations" with Chinese women. Being black skinned is seen as essential ugliness, and of course their actual behavior, appearance, stench, etc. doesn't help.

I like to get caught up on the news on Sunday, just like back in the day when my dad would read the Sunday paper and i would ask for the Sunday comics.

Monday is considered the start of the news cycle for the week. What do you guys think will be the main focus?

I am betting tariffs, even though people are probably tired of hearing about them by now.

No, he was sick and people were speculating that he was dying, then the internet saw his sister and started grooning over her because she was a relatively young Asian woman. He’s fine and in fact just today he test fired a sniper rifle for a photo op

Thats neat. Trump should do a photo op where he fires a MANPAD at a drone target like skeet shooting.

Me and my sisters contemplate this all the time. We attribute it to lead poisoning.
Additional hypothesis - the constant high power TV and Radio broadcasts scrambled a lot of brains through both RF absorption and spending hours a day passively accepting whatever the TV says. So you grow up stunted intellectually due to leaded gasoline, then you train yourself to willingly be brainwashed by the TV like all your friends and neighbors and further stunt your growth while suddenly requiring "entertainment value" in everything to keep your attention.

Basically every boomer I know says they dream in black and white. Sure seems like the TV hijacked their entire imagination when they grew up. Also shows how impactful imagery like porn can be in people today.

yeah tbh I'm having a tough time seeing as anything other than a (reasonable) gamble
if this shit can work it's literally the death of the democrats after the USAID and all, if it fails the economy was going to collapse anyway so whateer I do what I want

By charging tariffs to EVERYONE, we’re reducing their ability to export to us and import from China. Clogging up the works. We’re shutting down China’s exports.

I miss when the democrats were running John Kerry, and crying about "Benedict Arnold CEOs" off-shoring jobs. Guess they just forgot about that, just like they forgot all their anti-war protesting and 20 solid years of voter fraud accusations.
This is an expert level political play, there's a dozen ways to pick up major wins, and the only downside is a-possible-slight acceleration of the inevitable collapse into hyperinflation from gibs. Dems are so fucked they're whining about the markets, KNOWING that we just dealt with much worse during Covid. These niggers think everybody forgot oil went negative this decade.

Driving from New York to LA covers the same distance as Moscow to Madrid, Texas alone is larger than Metropolitan France.

It's a shame driving is made so expensive in Europe, a transcontinental road trip sounds like a lot of fun.
When I was stationed in Germany back in the bad old days I owned a car and would just go. 3 and 4 day weekends meant I'd go anywhere.

Went a lot of places that to me were pretty close together but to German nationals I knew were far away.
