The breakfast thing is just an analogy used to generally express a lack of understanding of a theoretical scenario that didn't happen, the actual test was never in imagining how you would feel, but rather comprehending the question itself and not being stumped by someone asking "what if X hadn't occurred" when X did in fact occur, it's the "what if-" that troubles them

Ironically idiots didn't get it, didn't understand the analogy, didn't comprehend what the test seeks to prove, or even the theoretical possibility of it not working when asked so directly and unprompted, they just latched onto the literal words they saw and began throwing them around

The original assertion (from 4chins IIRC) was that low-IQ individuals (therefore blacks) were too dumb to process theoretical questions. You know, what-ifs, the subjunctive tense, etc. The breakfast question was a concrete example of this, but it's pretty much just a meme at this point.

To answer this guy's question: the bulletproof glass and chambers to deliver cash/food is a precaution for the store and their employees since the community has a habit of robbing them for the slightest confrontation. I wondered as a kid why many stores had pull down grates to close shop, now I see why.

Of course, the other option would be to have NO stores at all since they can't be trusted to act like human beings.

Come to think of it, there had been times where I'd come home from work in the morning and the parking lot near my apartment building would be full. Some people drag their shitty friends over who have no parking tags like tenants do. There's a guest parking lot but they're all brain-dead so they all huddle up where their friend is. I wouldn't say all of them are looking for drugs but sometimes it is a wonder.

Reminds me of visiting Gary, Indiana a couple years ago (before the pandemic.) Went to a corner store for a bottle of water. My neighborhood, you can go in and get what you want and bring it to the checkout. Gary's corner store was locked down like a literal bank, rocking metal tray and barred bulletproof window, speaker for the guy to ask what you wanted, and only store employees allowed to grab it while the other one watched you. You didn't even get your shit until the payment went through. It was ridiculous, how bad is Gary that things came to this?? (Rhetorical question)

The customer goes in, is handed a catalog, selects what he/she/it wants, pays, and then a shopgirl fetches the merch from the back room. I think the concept of shame has disappeared from western society, more's the pity.

I used to work at a Walmart that was pretty nice (not to work at, to shop at), but theft at the nearby "Ghettomart" got so bad they had to close that location and send a bunch of their employees to our store.
After that, forget about it. More theft, loss/shrink through the roof, more WIC and LINK purchases, the store was a mess all the time, and more fights and crazy customers.
I left for unrelated reasons, and in the almost decade since that Walmart has descended to hell. The place is a dump and employees don't even pretend to care anymore. Now with the post-covid bullshit there's even more theft going on at the self checkouts and even fewer employees to monitor it. All the cameras and having to fend for yourself makes it feel like a prison yard.
My family used to shop there all the time, but now it's basically dead to us. I wouldn't have gone as far to say this before, but I think the ratchet customer base from Ghettomart caused the decline. Then it's just the broken mirror thing, once people find out nobody cares they'll ravage the place en masse til it's a shithole. It's sad.
