A kidfucker civil war has erupted last night. Greenreaper, the guy who runs Inkbunny, pretty much the only site that will accept cub porn and who's had a longstanding autistic discomfort with pronouns, said intensely inflammatory things, literal Nazi shit, y'all, like:

Honestly I expected more milk out of this one. If you want to monitor the view of the outsiders in ways that don't involve having an Inkbunny account you can look at this Bluesky thread (some kind person already Archived).

Holy shit I did not expect any news to come out about GreenReaper. Unfortunately it's the same old shit that he's been almost deliberately getting into fights with since even before troons were such a big thing. Also I see he still types like a verbose shitter, seriously what is he on? "What we can prosecute in that area" This guy has more pseudo-intellect than some redditors, jeez. Only way to make him worse is if he whipped out a thesaurus while typing this.

Much is explained by the deep lore on this: Green first got into the shit because he wouldn't enforce 'muh pronouns' on Wikifur because he is autistic enough that it causes him some kind of existential cognitive dissonance. This appears to be similar, he's not going to police his other site for pronoun stuff or for anti-trans thoughts. I think? I was hoping for 'tranny tranny tranny' in comments and I was sorely disappointed.

I don't know what originally triggered it. I'm usually quite happy to dig into furry drama but I'm not going to go looking through Inkbunny too deeply to do it.

Huh! I didn't expect to see that mentioned here ever. The only time I really got a look at it was when I was looking into Neodement for TF2 Emporium thread related reasons, I ended up happening upon their Wiki. It's kind of a sad place, really, it's just another desecrated old community that once had a lot of that old web greatness and is now just full of terminally online trannies on Discord Servers by the looks of things. There's probably some quality retardation going on in there but it's a little too depressing for me to dig much further on.

Out of boredom I was scrolling through the psycho zoo that is bluesky and came across this guy phonebooking and sperging out about someone going by the handle Ironspike. I took a moment to screen cap their tweets, archive their bsky account, and the linked sound cloud since his retarded meltdown was pretty funny, psychotic, and lead me down a rabbit hole on Ironspike then the burnedfurs. Out of precaution I archived some shit for you guys incase this is anything of note or just some retard sperging to the wind and if you all could shed some light on my morbid curiosity.

I have no idea what connection Chromium has to Ironspike but some of the posts in question allude to some type of relation between the two, alleged child abuse, retweets mentioning Ironspike helping create the burnedfurs, seething about the burnedfurs spreading "hate", demands to shutter her kickstarter, supposed phonebooking, and threats. Well, the people on this site sure weren't kidding when they said the burned furs were about as big as if not bigger faggots than the people they were complaining about. Should've been called the a-log furs. I feel the furries probably really amp up just how the burned furs were so they can try to make the enemy-image stick on just about any furry that criticizes the fandom, because that's a hard level of faggotry to match right there.

I really doubt the statement "squee rat set a lot of hate in motion" is even remotely true, it's shaping up like the burned furs were such huge faggots they hardly had any impact and the only reason anyone even remember they existed is because furries use them as a bogeyman to strawman out all internal criticism. Most of the "hate" furries get is from everywhere else. In fact, the people that are always defending the furry fandom by going all like "oh boy burned furs 2.0 time" are pretty much never anyone who were actually present in those days. Furries just take myth as gospel.

How does furries decide which fur they are?
do they just go "I like horses and therefore im a Horse furry"
or is there some deep guidelines and series of questions and/or self-reflective journey they go through to decide which fur they are?

Im asking because im curious as to how some people chose to be an Alpine Wolf
and some chose to be a Pink and Light Blue Wolf

its somewhat intriguing to try to understand what goes through their mind.

Personal preference. You're autistic and really like an animal? Then you pick that one. Like certain colors or theming? Then you work that in.
Some also pick based on more personal reasons. I've definitely heard of people picking fursonas based on their "spirit animal".
A lot also just buy a premade design (an adopt) and use that.
The funniest is when they pick an animal they look like. I remember seeing someone with a boar/pig character who happened to be very overweight, have tiny feet, and a little pushed up pig-like nose. It was apparently unintentional but still, made me laugh.

A lot of the furries from the 2000s and 2010s were attracted to the fandom via franchises they liked - Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon, Disney, My Little Pony etc. So whatever character they liked the most probably influenced their decision on what to base their fursona around. Most fox furries probably liked Miles "Tails" Prower or Disney Robin Hood, for example.
