If this persists, I'm sure Gail will just call the police and have them break the door down and haul Jace away.
I don't think she would have waited this long to involve police. This isn't the first time he's sperged out like this, he's literally been doing this on and off for two months or so.

Take her history: she sent him to Jesus Camp instead of sending him to rehab (which could have actually made a difference), she burned his weed instead of report it to the police, etc... there have been a million good opportunities and reasons for her to get official help involved, but she hasn't taken any of them, and given the amount of police attention his activities should have attracted so far, I think she's actively shielding him from law enforcement. I think one part of her understands that if she actually asked for help from police, Jace would get put away forever, either in the legal system or in some sort of mental health facility.

This is all ignoring the bigger problem, which is that if police bust down anything, Jace is going to parkour at them "duel-wielding" BudK tactical throwing knives and possibly get killed, or at the very least injured.

Thanks! I wasn't sure. I'm kinda new to the whole Jace thing and still playing catch-up.

Did he have have his own car at some point, and did he wreck it? Just curious because I remember it being mentioned but I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.
He had a factory-condition beige Toyota Corolla (which he claimed was "customized") that he totaled in a DUI accident sometime in early 2013.

Well, the thing is, Jace isn't a troubled teen. He's 20 at the youngest, 22 at the oldest. So none of this is really applicable anyway. He's a legal adult with all the rights that entails (save for those that got taken away from his felony charge)

I just checked with my husband (who is working as a direct support professional while pursuing a degree in psychology). He said that , although it wouldn't be easy, Jace's mom could have him committed (potentially using his vlogs and tweets as evidence of his mental instability). My husband said that the better alternative, would be to have him placed into a 21 day rehab (they're 21 days here in NH, not sure about anywhere else): depending on how this goes, he could end up being committed.
I don't know Massachusetts law, but most places it starts with three days observation in hospital. His behaviour and vlogs and tweets are more than enough to get that (esp. stealing his mom's prius). Given Jace's behaviour and personality, I can't see any way the 72 hour observation evaluation would lead to him being sent back out into the world uncontrolled and left to his own devices. It would almost definitely lead to further action. I don't think that would go as far as involuntary commitment, because that's pretty damn hard to achieve, even with all the things Jace has done. It would probably result in court ordered therapy, including medication, with a case worker assigned to make certain Jace behaves himself and stays of drugs and on his prescribed meds. He may also be removed from his mother's home and placed in a group home, or possibly a youth rehab camp, to better monitor him. It all depends on Massachusetts law and what the judge over his case will eventually decide.

Really at this point there are too many ways things can go to predict the eventual outcome. The only certainty is there will be no way Jace will be able to maintain his streaming toking airsofting gamer snacking parkour future muhreen lifestyle indefinitely. Despite his fantasies, his life is way too dependent on the limited goodwill of others, and eventually something is going to give way.

I would say things are already giving way. Gail has confined Jace to his room, Pastor Faggot has been dragged into this to a previously unseen extent. I can see the status quo changing quite soon. I think we all know who to blame for this:

Makarov!

I mean look at that smug bastard.

Gail is a conservative Christian and probably doesn't believe in therapy, right? That's why she will try to handle this herself. She doesn't "believe" in therapy. So Jace will never get better, and she will deal with this for the rest of her life. Depressing.

I think she does in fact believe in it, she simply fears the consequences. The idea of her son being locked up for a very long time, if not forever, frightens her. Honestly I can't blame her.

Jace cannot "get better", because whatever condition(s) he has that makes him the way he is, is probably a pre-existing condition made worse by his heavy intake of alcohol and drugs and fed into by the paranoia caused by his make-belief enemies both online and offline.

Best he can hope for is being taken to rehab and kept there until he's truly 100% sobered up. For him to lose his dependency on drugs and alcohol. Preferably the rehab would be combined with some sort of (group) therapy. Although he will never be "normal" by any standards, he will be significantly more functional and less unpredictable\aggressive then he is right now.

I think she's afraid to call the police on him, what with all those fake guns. Cops, even suburban cops, tend to shoot first and ask questions never. Cops have shot kids for taking swings at them. If he had pulled that Makarov business on a police officer, he would be dead. If the worst case scenario ends up playing out, though, I've found a great song for Jace's memorial video.

I guess it kind of also ties to the fundamentalism bit - maybe she actually believes prayer and Jesuscamping is all Jace needs. In the last stream, Jace said he only believes in "natural" weed as medication; I immediately thought that he might have heard some lunatic-fringe vaccination/medicine-denialist "natural medicine" nonsense from her mother or the Jesus Camp crowd... and predictably enough just interpreted that advice his own peculiar way.

No matter what the truth, there's a really big disconnection between how rational people would handle this and how Jace and Gail are handling this. Both of them know better, and there's always odd hints around on why they don't act that way, just no big picture.

Maybe someone have to step up and call the whitecoats for Jace, I mean Stryker or er....

This is just sad to me. Hits a little, no a lot too close to home. I've seen this story play out live and in person too many times in the last 6 years. It always starts with going off/changes in meds, then going back on alcohol and drugs. Very few of the stories had a happy ending, even the ones who managed to get put in long term care. The saddest ones were the people who very nearly finally got their shit together, and seemingly overnight, they're running around the halls naked, writing all over the walls in the hallway, and before the agencies can get their thumb out their asses, they're evicted from the apartment, bann from half of downtown and spent a few nights in jail. Then they get out of long term and relapse not long after because they have nowhere to go and all there is to do here for the locals is alcohol and drugs.

Looks like Jace is now being attacked by bees that may or may not only exist in his mind.

Perhaps this is biological warfare from Gail and/or Gamerfood?

The danger situation was peacefully resolved after the belligerent party was found to be a hallucination.

It is warming up and insects could be looking for new spring homes- it's that situation around my house. So maybe two or three bees have buzzed through an open window. Wasps often nest and overwinter on the outside of houses.

Or maybe he's found some stashed (hallcinogenic) drug in his room to observe Deagle Nation 4/20?

Most likely, it's probably all in his head and Jace feels a need to create a Crucial Danger Situation for himself.
