Anna is a narcissist, which means that any attention is good attention. She was never going to get good attention at an event filled with Insta fashion thots, and an "appropriate" outfit would only attract pitying half smiles and quickly averted gazes. So she went dressed in something an eight year old would wear to bed, and got her quota of attention that way.

It's really not hard to understand. Anna's dress sense revolves around attracting attention. Any vague elements of tastefulness are a happy coincidence, not a design choice.

These aphorisms are not completely true, but there is, however, a tendency for some surgeons to recommend surgery when less invasive interventions would work just as well. It's a cognitive bias, and patients need to be aware of it. They should do their due diligence before consenting to surgery, particularly non-urgent elective surgery.

Dr. Amron arrogantly believes the bullshit he's spewing. If Anna were my sister or daughter or friend, I would advise her to stay TH away from him. She won't though, because she wants an "out," a medical reason to explain her super morbid obesity and he provides that. It's an unfortunate and harmful symbiotic relationship.

Actually, when he pokes around her ankles, there's nothing much to see, but he wants to locate a lot of fibrosis there. I mean, I'm not a lipedema expert like he is, but it's just grotesque to see the above-knee masses swinging over him while he looks at the ankles, which are of course not hurting just because she's overweight. No. And we know, that her thighs have already been contoured and healed.

This is horrific and hard to watch. If her lower legs weren’t all marked up and I watched this without sound or just saw still shots, I would absolutely assume the problem area being addressed was the massive, sagging, jiggling vagina thighs and not the relatively normal looking (though massive) by comparison calves and shins. I cannot believe any sane person would see this and go “yeah, this is something I want to also do to my body. Sign me up please!”

It absolutely can. In case you missed it, another Farmer posted a question regarding this topic several weeks ago (I know this thread has several pages to wade through):

I wonder how much fat you could cut off someone? ..... What’s the limiting factor physiologically? Shock, fluid balance?

If the surgeon removes too much fluid, the patient may develop electrolyte imbalances, i.e., too much or too little of certain minerals like sodium, magnesium, potassium, etc. This can trigger irregular heart rhythms, which can cause a heart attack. Too much fluid loss can also cause the person to go into shock or coma or have a seizure.

Removing large amounts of fat also increases the likelihood of fat particles (fat embolism) entering the bloodstream and blocking blood vessels. There's also the risk of blood clots (deep vein thrombosis/DVT) blocking blood vessels or fluid building up in the lungs (pulmonary edema). You can die from all of these.

Several Farmers have said it -- Anna really needs to stop all these back-to-back liposuction surgeries. She looks worse than ever, they're of questionable benefit, and they could end up killing her. Literally. She may think they're low-risk, but every surgery carries a risk of complications, even so-called low-risk ones. Enough already.

We think Tracey’s got to have something wrong with her for being Anna’s only real friend and going along with her, so we have joked she’s just ass-kissing for Disney vacations.

But it is entirely possible that she has discussed the dangers with Anna, and Anna ignores her. She may caretake after the surgery because she’s worried. Long lasting friendships are often “live and let live,” facilitated by distance You tell your friend her boyfriend/doctor is throwing red flags everywhere, but she’s excited and can’t see it. A year after they marry/has surgery she calls crying after he hits her/causes lymphodema, and what can you do? Anna is in her full-blown munchie arc now, it's her whole personality and online identity, so no amount of well-meaning intervention or advice from Tracey or anyone else is going to course-correct her. This is terminal. She's sized herself out of clothing hauls, is too fat to travel, and is mostly confined to the overlit soul vaccum that she resides in. The munchie arc is all she has now.

Even if it wasn't Scamron slicing Anna's fat off, she'd find an equally skeevy surgeon to carve her up like a Doner Kebab.

The one “silver lining” I can see is that it seems like ScAmron is ruining his reputation. The lipedema subreddit has a few posts mentioning him and the more recent ones have comments steering people away.

Someone mentioned that there’s a closed lipedema fb group and alluded to the opinion of its members being firmly anti-Amron.
