Trade War 2025 - You get tariffs and you get tariffs, tariffs for everyone!

>fuck you boomer Grandma
Yes
>fuck you middle class
If your money comes from bullshit stocks, fake computer numbers, yeah fuck you. Work for your bread bitch.
>fuck you poors, you should be slaves
I want them to have real jobs and not br welfare queens, yes
"I want my fellow countryman to fail and suffer at any cost to myself or own personal expense. My nation will surely be stronger through this decimation."
I want my nation to take medicine so it's stronger in the end. So we can make cars, trucks, electronics, jets, and every little thing without the third world. If the stock bros jump off sky scrapers... lol lmao, good.

This one should be renamed Faggot Seething Thread #69

United States President Donald Trump is threatening to put a new set of 50% tariffs on China. If he follows through with this US companies could face a total rate of 104% on Chinese imports- as it comes on top of 20% tariffs already put in place in March and the 34% announced last week.

I'm hard as a rock. Total chink death.

Why is Trump so obsessed with tariffs this term? This was never a focal point in his first term. Did he talk about it during his election run? What am I missing here? I'm not a trump expert but this tariff stuff seems random. I get he wants america first. Nothing wrong with that but how is tariffs going to make this happen? Especially since we have a free trade agreement (Canada, US, Mexico). Is he not violating what has been already agreed upon?

36 trillion in debt, 1.7 trillion deficit. We are bleeding cash worse than ever. It has to stop. We are taking money from the rest of the world to finance this.

We are also building assets. Every new factory that comes to the US and is brought online to escape the tarrifs is added value to the worth of the US. When you balance that next to the debt, it gives you greater leverage.

Finally, greater access to markets. With renegotiated deals, American cars and all sorts of things will flood Europe and Asia, bringing money back to America. Simple.

BIG NUMBER MEANS WIN
WOOOOOOOOH BIG NUMBERS
Call of duty zoomer mentality, it works on feeble minds. You show them a graph with BIG NUMBERS, without explaining anything, they'll fall for it everytime.

>Hate Welfare Queens
But do you hate Millionaires, Billionaires, Jews(Kiryas Joel residents ) and Poor Whites ( Pharr, Texas) ? Because they get 80% of the Welfare in this country and don't pay back what they take out.

The promise of a brighter future means nothing if your boat sinks and you drown on the way to that brighter future- But don't worry, the captain has his own private boat and he will be okay.

You're solving the problem AFTER the problem is here.
You don't put in new levees to prevent flooding, in the middle of the flood bro. You put them in BEFORE it floods. If it's too late and you survive, you put them in AFTER it floods, so you know where you need them now.

Trade War is similar.
You don't enter a trade war armed with bravado and big words. You enter a trade war to fucking trade. That means you need the factories BEFORE, because while you are building your factory, the competition is going to absolutely fucking smoke you. It takes time to prime soil. So you better not enter a trade war with farming country when you haven't even seeded yet. It takes time to build factories, it takes time to train workers, it takes time to stock pile materials, it takes time to set up distro, better not pick a fight with someone who only has to change their distribution to fuck you sideways.

Like this orange nigger really thinks we can compete with China? They can shit out 10X more Plastic and Metal products in a day than we can shit out in a week (that's being optimistic. the reality is , they shit out more in a day than we do in a year.) . We don't even have the materials to keep up with their rate. He thinks bogarting the Panama Canal will give them an edge? Fuck. This is just encouragement to abandon the dollar. Doesn't mean much when nobody accepts it, after all.

Doesn't China control like 90% of rare earths and banned many already for the US? The US reserves will be gone eventually. I don't think orange fatso thought that trough.

My god you are so naive and out of touch. Let's get real. No one understands how the global economy works. Literally no one. There are too many parts and too many laws.

Who does america owe money to? China? Doesn't china have debts? Like it's all BS.

How do you think businesses are going to come back? They ship it overseas for cheap labour. That ain't happening where COL (cost of living) is higher like in US and other nations. Then they get taxed depending on the state. You have to BUILD an actual factory and need the right people. Do you think china will simply let US TAKE the actual equipment they use to build stuff? Hell NO!

It would take time and money.

Ever since I was a child. A fucking child I believed a country should be self sufficient and make stuff not rely solely on other nations. But it's not just an attitudinal shift but a practical one. It's like dumping your friends and only having 1 or 2 when you used to be a socialite. It's not easy

Poor Whites
Poor whites are often the working poor who do jobs that people value but that aren't viable to pay enough of a wage so the government basicslly subsidizes their existence to fulfill that role. Much different than Demarcus warkus tarcus getting free fraudulent loans to buy lobster and stab and rape white kids while never ever working

Amerisharts are about to know what its like paying $4000 cash for an iphone like we do here because of tariffs aka taxes on EVERYTHING

Enjoy the ride, it never ends
phones are luxury goods like video cards. you don't need the latest model every year and i cant feel bad for retards who do buy every year

My side hustle had a 4.2% tariff before trump.( little memory books for commemorative photos of the Ridge)
I barely break even selling my shit at 5 dollars a piece for a 100 dollar a month investment.
At 4.2% I can sell 20 in a month and break even, if I get lucky and sell 25? Profit.
At 42%, I have to sell 40 at 5 dollars to make the same amount of money or sell 20 at 7. Nobody is paying 7 dollars for this.

Edit: fuck. My math was wrong. It's 46% tariff on materials from Vietnam.
Wow, that's crazy, you think i give a shit about your Etsy bullshit?

What I would like to see some figures on is what the typical mark-ups are on imported goods. They're not zero so a 100% increase on import costs doesn't mean a 100% increase in price to consumer. But what does it mean? If the mark-up on some cheap Chinese doo-hickey is 500% a +20% import tariff doesn't seem so bad. If the mark-up is 40%, well now it does.

I lack the context to really assess these tariffs - which is fine, I have no effect on this, I'm just interested. But I worry that everybody seems to lack this context. Where are the more detailed analyses?
