I'd say probably 90% of modern day immigrants are economic migrants and will fuck off if the tap is turned off.
I'd say 95 percent. The other 5 percent are overstaying students who think their country is boring, young tourists who think America is the place to become a celebrity, and similar terminally online foreign trash.

Because

1: China is the most expansionist country on the earth, and constantly threaten everyone else in the Indo Pacific region, which involves a lot of alternative trading partners and US allies

2: Because if they don’t get put into their place, they’ll talk themselves into something stupid like invading Taiwan

3: Because we’re embarrassing them for acting like they’re cooler than us

4: Because 50% of the shitty jewelry your girlfriend got off Etsy was actually a chink drop shipping front, and contains toxic amounts of cadmium, which can cause you to die from renal necrosis. This is after they poisoned hundreds of thousands of American babies by putting melamine in baby formula to fake the protein content

5: Because real Americans have fighting communism in their DNA. We have the third president to declare war on communism and coincidentally the third president to do that and get shot. We’re going to win this time
Expansionist? How many wars was China started in the past 75 years? Now do the US.

Why are we so eager to start a full on trade war with China anyway
because they breath always stink and they have rotten teeth and do nothing but steal and cheat and don't forget authentic chinese food is disgusting. like most countries that aren't america their entire existence relies on making substandard versions of what we have and selling it back to us while undercutting american businesses

fuck them

I assume most of the people in here are in the working or middle class like me, so it's baffling to see all of you be so eager to march along with the billionaire (who will not be as badly affected btw) into more economic hardship because "fuck the other side".
I'll say it, fuck 'em. Fuck the people who sold out this country in a hand basket. I've been layed off a couple times over the past twenty years over global events. I can handle it, easy to get back on your feet if you're not a retard. If it means my parents don't have to fight a Haitian nurse in a nursing home. If it means future generations get a better shake then I did, I'll take the heat.

IF people stopped just being selfish animals like the chinese, it would solve a'lot of problems.

huh I never thought about this because this is definitely not my experience with actual chinese people

it's really sad how horrible their system is because actual chinese people are so decent
China is a diverse country whose potential is held down by a tight, cliquey and totally archaic form of government that enforces an equally as bad culture. I really want to say that if Chinese people weren't held down by those things they'd be exceptional, but something has to be wrong with an ethnicity to let all that happen in the first place.

6: Because anyone as thin skinned as the CCP deserves utter humiliation

the correct answer is to "why are we having a trade war with China" is that if we don't the other option is this kind of rhetoric eventually producing the will for an actual shooting war with China

China is no more "expansionist" in its sphere than the US is in Latin America - or than Russia is in its sphere.

Large powerful states with large powerful militaries behaving normally, wanting to continue to exist, enrich themselvs, and not be controlled by other states is just how shit works. Communism is evil but what fighting communism did to the USA was also incredibly evil. We fought a monster and we became a monster.

We have to return to ordinary domestic politics and ordinary international diplomacy. It's not a war of good against evil, it's just another tricky day.

it's probably all the cannibalism

Local Dumbshit Randy Fine feels the best way to get ahead in Florida is to side-eye DeSantis accusing Zion Ron of being... anti-semetic?

“I do find it troubling that two politicians in Florida that he has chosen to take issue with in a very vitriolic way the last few weeks are both Jewish,

WASHINGTON—Newly-elected Congressman Randy Fine (R) has fueled his ongoing political intraparty fight with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by insinuating that Gov. DeSantis could be targeting him and former Democrat-turned-Republican State Rep. Hillary Cassel because they are Jewish.

During an exclusive interview with The Floridian, Rep. Fine did not mince his words, calling Gov. DeSantis’ political beef with Rep. Cassel “dumb.”

“It's dumb. Rep, Cassle switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party, and so obviously she’s not going to be as conservative as everyone else, but do we want to be a niche party, or do we want to a big tent party,” questioned Rep. Fine. “She switched because she’s Jewish, and she didn’t like the way Democrats look at Israel, maybe that bothered Ron DeSantis?”

Fine, who said that he would not back down to DeSantis or anyone, insinuating that DeSantis’ war of words against him and Rep. Cassel was because they were of the Jewish faith.

“I do find it troubling that two politicians in Florida that he has chosen to take issue with in a very vitriolic way the last few weeks are both Jewish,” said Fine.

Fine continued, taking yet another shot at DeSantis by bringing up the known fact that President Donald Trump “bailed” DeSantis out during the 2028 Republican Gubernatorial primary race.

“I won his congressional seat by the same margin he won it when he ran. Maybe he is feeling guilty that Donald Trump bailed him out when he ran for Governor, he wouldn’t be governor if it wasn’t for Donald Trump. Maybe there is a lot of unhappiness with how way his political future as sort of sputtering out,” Fine concluded.

During the recent special election in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, DeSantis asserted that Fine was a terrible candidate who would and did underperform.

“So, I do I would not read into the underperformance that this is somehow a referendum on on MAGA or Trump. I think it was a unique issue with this particular candidate…So I just view it as it's an underperformance I think it's speak to the candidate and the president really had to bail him out at the end,” said DeSantis.

During his first run for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012, then-Rep. DeSantis won his congressional race by vote margin 14.2%.

Fine won his first House race by 13%.

Why are we so eager to start a full on trade war with China anyway, our largest trading partner?, if we have to decouple, then do it gradually and slowly, I think burning everything down without any adjustment/transitionary period is actually a really, really bad idea for all of us.

I assume most of the people in here are in the working or middle class like me, so it's baffling to see all of you be so eager to march along with the billionaire (who will not be as badly affected btw) into more economic hardship because "fuck the other side".
China wants to be the only game in town. For everything. They seek world domination. They're not good neighbors. They're predatory. Their economy is uber fake. Propped up by fake money printed by the party. And unlike the US, you can't call their shit out within china. Unless you wanna be dragged to a reeducation camp or worker's camp.

Its not worth fighting an actual war with China. You gotta hit em where it hurts. The market. By pumping up tariffs, Trump is giving them a kick in the dick and punch in the gut. They're already on a slow downward spiral. Socially, there similar to us. But where the west has the ability of fix it, China does not. They have the lay flat movement. The market that was supposed to keep them afloat, real estate, popped a few years ago. If they're not allowed to export their cheap shit, its game over. The cherry on top would be the 3 Gorge Dam breaking.
