Maddox's appearance disconnect wasn't the biggest problem in his universe. It's been stated here before that he really believed he was some sort of super-genius when in reality he was clearly a midwit, something even Dax could pick up on, let alone everyone else.

Shut up babies and marriages don't last that long there is just too much resentment build up on both sides to work .I am giving 5 years if Dax behaves and bothers to change diaper and feed the baby. But if he is one of those fathers that leaves their kid to stew in their own shit and piss till mom comes home he is toast in a year maybe 2 .
