The Economic Collapse of 2025 - Are you tired of winning yet?

We subsidized the entire world or rather the left wing elites retarded global ventures at a loss.
Oh boy here we go again with "we wuz subsidizing and shieett".

What exactly has the USA subsidized for the rest of the world? You are trillions in debt, you run a massive deficit... it would appear, stalker child, it is YOU who is being subsidized.

Glad someone else understand this, Americans just lack any shred of self awareness to understand that being the world's largest consumer means they have had it BETTER than the rest of the world.

How they reached the conclusion that they were being taken advantage of by this arrangement is completely beyond me, and Gold medal level mental gymnastics that I simply cannot fathom.
Without the US Navy protecting international trade routes your ass would still be forced to buy 100% locally. So yes if you levy tariffs against the only nation on this planet protecting your right to free trade you are being greedy and selfish. You should be kissing America's feet for enabling you to make your ill gotten gains in the first place.

For the non-Americans here, here's a ground report from the Rust Belt. The average age of the school buildings here is 99 years-old. The public buildings are dilapidated to the point where it made national news when a government employee was injured by an exploding toilet. A bridge literally collapsed during the Biden Administration. You don't need to drive far in any direction to see a shuttered and rotting factory or mill. Our beautiful parks and trails are unsafe to use because violent, homeless drug addicts have sent up tent cities there.

I support the tariffs. America can't keep subsidizing the rest of the world through bad trade deals and foreign aid while American citizens live like this. We need to fix our problems first. If I'm supposed to feel bad about the worldwide disruption, I don't. Nobody in Canada or Mexico or China or the EU or anywhere else felt bad when entire towns in my area were hollowed out. They didn't care about our manufacturing jobs being dismantled and shipped abroad. I'm not sure why I'm expected to feel bad in return.

This is our one chance to restore the American economy. It's a risky one, but I'd rather bet it all on the tariffs and risk failing than continue on with the status quo.

Because unequal trade with the world (printed USD for raw and manufactured goods) has fueled the consumption frenzy of American society for decades.
Just because something has been true for in the grand scheme a very short amount of time. Does not make it a post historical fact. America cannot rely on a global trade system or it's people afford it.

Cool, go do some trade without us. Just use your own fucking navy, should be cheap enough to build.

so what happens if Trump decides to stop protecting any transport ship that is NOT going to or from America?

America cannot afford anything, because america has been involved, and is still involved in several wars aiming to cement their control around the world.

Europeans over all are extremely dangerous to ally with currently. Look at how Britain stomps and screams demanding war with France backing them up.

if it helps, from the outside your country propping up the entire western economy at your peoples expense is what enabled my country to import 1 billion paki rapists to kill our children on government benefits.
I am full of light and hope.

Very true the true we can only hope for more peace and more pushing for isolationist policies.

We paid for Australia's University system, abandoned our industries needlessly to purchase raw material from Canada at a large markup, spent countless resources on foreign aid and foreign defense allowing alot of you to have medical luxuries the average American can only dream of, our own politicians are chiding us for putting our economy above yours and other countries, we built nations like China up and allow them to export fent and cheap unreliable sometimes dangerous shit while they buy industry snd housing here, we were funding the bbc in part even. Alot of these trade deals were crummy and taken to prop up allies who hate us anyway
