The Economic Collapse of 2025 - Are you tired of winning yet?

Would winning the trade war or losing the trade war open America up to be openly racist again and deal with the blacks? Cause I'm hoping for whatever result does that.
Am asteroid falling on Earth would inconvenience many blacks, browns, gays and trannies, so root for that I guess.

You're looking at an incoming market apocalypse that would wipe out the middle class entirely because we've spent decades forcing thousands in debt on youth to hold them back. We've regulated the fuck out of industries to the point starting new ones is so insanely expensive, Millenials can't compete. We've made Masters and Bachelor Degrees minimal requirements before doing...well anything in life.

Didn't someone in office talk about doing away with this exact thing recently? And didn't people lose their goddamn minds over the concept? Something about personal responsibility and paying back the debt you owe?

Exactly. I already had some of the best years of my life taken from me as a Zoomer. You literally cannot do anything worse to me than what happened with Covid. Let the storm come. I see light shining through the clouds.
I lived through the lockdowns in Australia. Locked away in my fucking home having to sneak out like a rat just to enjoy the fresh air while every store denied me my god given right to just order a fucking meal. Watching everyone else enter society again 6 months after because I refused the jab. Years of my life stolen. Fucking bastards.
Fuck em. Fuck em all. I don't give a shit, a fucking reckoning needs to come in some way for things to get better. If this ends up being that, then at least there will be some change.
I want to believe in a better tomorrow.

Why would any racism generated by a trade war affect our views on blacks? The only economically significant African population is our own.

And who cares? I'd give up what I have if things were better. Life is more than a fucking line and cheap shit made by slaves. Holy shit youre a idiot.
This is the real based take. Culture has disintegrated and people are being reduced to soulless husks who only consume products. And those products are ass that have zero passion behind them let alone legitimate innovation. If the next propaganda box that blasts stimulating adhd spam from your living room costs $1,000 but jobs exist to be giving to actual Americans, that houses are on the market at costs that align with the middle class, and that culture and people have a reason to thrive, then let the TV cost $1,000.

Anyone who seriously thinks a 104% tariff on China is gonna “revive the economy” is fucking retarded. Full helmet, licking windows on the short bus tier retarded. All it does is nuke imports, jack up prices, and piss off the Chinese enough to retaliate harder. Manufacturing’s not coming back, costs go up, markets crash, and the average American gets bent over a Made-in-USA barrel with a smile. This isn’t strategy, it’s economic self-harm disguised as patriotism. Inflation’s gonna rawdog the middle class while boomers cheer like it’s Reagan’s second coming. It’s not a trade war, it’s a fiscal gun to the dick. Absolute fucking clown show.
Yeah I agree. I am not educated on this at all, so if I'm off someone correct me, but I just don't think Trumps vision makes sense in our modern world.

Ok so Chinese imports get more expensive. He thinks this makes people buy local US made goods, but the problem there is many goods don't have a US analog, or its just not as good. From what I can see, many US companies still raise prices along with the tariffed imported goods to make more money, essentially having the US consumer pay that tariff (could be wrong?).

The other problem here is that he's doing all this to encourage more companies to build factories in the USA, creating jobs and cheaper locally made goods, but I don't think that happens either. That turnaround can be years off to get the permits, construction, hiring, training, way past his term, so we don't see any benefit potentially for a decade at least.

Along with that is the silent reason why all this overseas production happens - The slave labor and child labor. China and India for example do this, adults barley make $10 a month sometimes, children are used. Even if all the above happens, even with tariffs, its still exponentially cheaper to produce over there vs locally here with the USA's minimum wage, employee health insurance, etc. None of that exists overseas. You can't get around that.

I'm not very informed on this, just thinking through it critically with limited info so maybe I'm wrong. On paper it doesn't seem fair that other countries tariff our imports and we don't, but there is probably more to that I'm missing.

Ultimately I just hate both sides. I know its easy to say that and be a fence sitter, but I really hate how both parties go about things. Our priorities in the USA should be lowering real estate prices so citizens can buy affordable homes, stop corporations from buying real estate homes, reduce property taxes, stop tying healthcare to employment, encourage people to get into jobs the country NEEDS like more medical professions, reduce education costs significantly and fast track people into these needed roles, Try to provide free housing to people at every level, even if its small, if its enclosed and safe that would go a long way for our huge homeless problem. These are the real problems we should be talking about, focused internally. Pull back from funding Israel and all these foreign wars...

I'm pretty sure it's done to have better deals on the table, and to have a growing economy again. You can't just not do anything anymore and no one else seems to have a better plan either.
There is a reason for why no one has a better plan and that is because it will take a generation to bring manufacturing back. We unfortunately operate under short-term thinking and telling people that benefits will come in 20 years doesn’t generate support.

The problem with Trump’s decision to do blanket tariffs and harsh retaliations is that it will fuck over many businesses in the US. Many, especially the small ones, will never recover. There is not enough manufacturing in the US to meet demand in this short term. Hell, there wasn’t enough to cover demand before the tariffs. We do not have the infrastructure and the technical expertise to rebuild manufacturing overnight.

We are left with an administration that will hurt the American economy. They will not offer any financial aid relief to protect small businesses. They will not provide subsidies or loans to incentivize manufacturing development. The only thing the government is offering is a tax cut for the rich, which they will not reinvest in the economy because of the uncertainty these tariffs have caused.

The Trump administration has effectively told the American people; you will afford nothing, and you will be happy.

This is exacerbating the decline of America, not saving it.

The first step in having a better tomorrow is believing it will happen. Remember what they took from you. And remember that you fucking made it. There is nothing a squiggly line stock market can do to you that the evils that were unleashed during Covid can! Trump is going to pull this off.

Try that move in the Australian Market.
Lmao.
Well there’s your first mistake.
I hate to be a cynic here but you're assuming we're even making that much and then that the literal bare bones minimum is within 300k.
I'm pretty sure it's legit double up here. For a house that would be paid off in like 30 fucking years.
Boomers never had to deal with this bullshit.
You’re right, (and to be fair I think I did my math wrong. The monthly for 300k is probably closer to 2k a month). But I think paying off debt is much better than lighting your money on fire and giving it to your landlord every month (in most circumstances. Yes, the boomers didn’t have to deal with this because they lived in a world where America won WWII. Instead we have to adapt to live in the world we inherited.
Nigger I can't afford 1300 a month on rent let alone 2600 a month on debt.
Then get a roommate to go halfsies on a property with you. Someone you really trust tho.

I've never been fully against student debt forgiveness. My problem is that the package Biden offered was a bandaid on top of a poisoned well. You're always going to be paying off systematic youth debt. The form you pay for it in just changes. My problem with Biden's proposal was that it didn't lower students rates, it didn't de-federalize student loans, and it didn't take any actions against predatory institutions. I'm perfectly fine outright destroying the collegiate system as it is because it's useless. The problem is, no politician was interested in doing that.

Culture needs chemotherapy at this point. Kinotherapy if you will. I'd rather things get more expensive if I'm happier in the end. Currently the only people truly happy are around 8% of the population who own stocks. And you know what; fuck them. Fuck your line. I want a good job and all the things the Boomers got.

You know guys, the idea that we need a collapse before things can get based again is not a new idea. It only seems new because it literally has never worked. You had retarded generals in the Russian White Army making decisions based on this assumption and they lost.

You win by winning. Not by tactically losing.
That and we supported the Red Army at the time.

I'm not wasting my money on rent, at least. That's the one thing I got lucky with.
But I really should do that halfsies idea, I do have someone I think would be pretty reliable with it. The main issue is the cost of houses is fucking absurd right now.

lol maga people literally cheering for their own financial downfall and having their own economic Jonestown moment. Donny just handed China global economic dominance on a silver platter. When you're working factory labor for 23.5 hours 7 days a week that could've been automated by robots instead just to rent space to shit in a box behind a Wendy's because donny promised that the numbers he pulled out of his ass that you will foot the bill for would somehow make you rich while the rest of the world gives him and America the finger, trades with each other only, tanks the US dollar, and enjoys their increased wealth and prosperity, I expect you will continue to shout from the rooftops about how you voted for it

A lot of you underestimate how quickly American companies will be able to get up and running. If there's money to be made, companies will quickly jump in and start producing immediately. Thats how capitalism and competition works.

We're not talking about government run projects. Corporations, private companies and entrepreneurs will move quickly to take advantage.
