For the majority of their relationship- Bex steadfastly refused to let Daniel fund anything important as the live in boyfriend.

This changed post Punningpundit when she got the not-cancer and needed treatment. Mami and Papi refused to help as it was a result of sleeping with someone other than Jackson. Jackson still didn't have a job then that could support her medical needs, so she accepted Daniel's help. He got promoted to secondary partner as a result + fake wedding to convince his daddy he was settled and happy before going to the Beer garden in the sky.

But she leaned HEAVY into that support once she accepted it. Sam is basically where Daniel was 4-5 years ago. Except Daniel at least had a high level industry job, Sam's job area isn't anywhere near as highly paid + Jackson struggles to keep a job for longer than a year.
