The issue with Trump's tariffs is that they create too much uncertainty; he's not even applying them strategically and has already flip-flopped multiple times.

Regardless of your stance on tariffs, businesses aren't going to gamble billions on U.S. manufacturing if tariffs come and go like Twitter headlines. Businesses make plans in 10 - 20-year blocks, not days or whatever Trump's mood is. Why would they rewire entire supply chains if the trade policy is going to:
1) be reversed next week
2) get undone by the next administration.

Tarriffs that fluctuate each week or with each administration don't provide the kind of certainty or incentive for businesses to plan or make long-term investments. So instead, businesses play it safe: they freeze hiring, freeze investments, outsource even more, and hedge their bets. They stagnate and don't gamble on anything disruptive. until things are more predictable.

Throwing them off balance is a good thing.

trump has held to his promise that reciprocal tariffs would be the only ones levied if people played ball. over 75 countries have requested to negotiate with us, and he's dropping the tariffs to 10% and pausing them for 90 days for those countries, while everyone else retains 10% with no pause, and china gets no pause in the tariffs, as well as their tariffs having increased to 125% total, according to the golden-haired one.

I like Persians and it’s unfortunate but the easiest solution may be the necessary one. At this point I’d rather do that than deal with occupation. Shame about Persia and how it, like much of the world, was ruined by Islam.

I think it's very stupid to say Trump manipulated the market, there was already a rumor about a 90 day tariff pause a few days ago so clearly something was in the works. I think someone did manipulate for sure within his admin and leaked said info out, but considering there's still major tariffs on China, 10% on every country, and 25% on key exports I doubt he'd do it for such a small gain when if he was manipulating he could have made a literal shitton more by just removing all tariffs immediately.
