I don't see how they can overcome the pesky 14.1 MeV neutron bombarding the walls and contaminating the plasma for long term (>365 days), continuous operation. Fission reactors routinely get more than a year between trips at 100% continuous output.

It is a good thing if you care more about making money from global finance than about the well-being of your countrymen.
