If Biden actually cared to end the war in favor of Ukraine he would’ve dropped oil prices too because it would’ve hurt Russias ability to fund the war.

The president cannot just unilaterally declare oil prices to be lower. Additionally, the US forced Russia to sell oil under market value to willing buyers via a massive sanctions regime. The only thing the US could've done to impact Russian oil even more would have been to physically destroy their export capacity.
