Aaron Imholte / Steel Toe Morning/Evening Show / "The Toe Boys" / r/steeltoeboringshow - Disgraced Minnesotan radio host turned racist Internet shock jock. Cuckold chef de Spaghetti-os, "2-2" boxing "coach". Has a legion of a-logs. Lost his wife to a coke addict he played "Strip Twister" with. Fined $50 for sharing nudes of Kayla Rekieta.

The maximum penalty he is facing on that charge is a year incarcerated and a $3000 fine. I doubt that he will be incarcerated, but they are likely to put a whole bunch of behavioral conditions on him and a long probation or a suspended sentence.

The domestic violence thing can be for more than physical violence. As far as I know, they do an evaluation on the person, give him a list of things he needs to do and he has to go do them. Its mostly the system punishing through being really annoying.

IMO its far from clear if this was a good deal or not. We will only know after he is sentenced.

It really depends on what the actual deal is. If the conditions are not worth mentioning and its just the 50$ fine, then its a win.
If he gets a suspended jail sentence with probation then taking this might turn our to be another of the dumb decisions where he should have fought it.
He would have gotten off much easier here if he had not just accepted that dumb TRO from Ashley. (being on record for something like a TRO is not great)

I dont understand the domestic abuse evaluation thing. What does that have to do with the sharing private images charge?
Aaron had an TRO filed against himself from his ex-wife Ashley (also against April) and he just accepted and never fought it.
In it some DV allegations by April were made and its possible they played this up against in witness testimony here.

So this might just be some "do X hours of course work about how to not be a dumb retard toxic male" recommendation stuff.

The weird thing is that
  • The TRO from Mrs. Imholte #1 was against Aaron and April. (not that weird, since they were married at the time and broadcasting together).
  • Aaron's TRO had lapsed. April's has not (because April didn't show up to court- another WIN for the Nose).

It's still on Rumble
text in parentheses are my commentary
  • Aaron now says he sent Geno a partially nude photo of a woman.
  • That's what he pled guilty to. A misdemeanor count of dissemination of a photo.
  • Excuse: he was not in a good place, he's ashamed, it was stupid, etc. etc.
  • The goal was to beat the felony. (WE HIT THE GOAL)
  • Aaron says he did a stupid thing, an idiotic thing he shouldn't have done. He's taking responsibility for what he did.
  • Aaron says no witnesses were coming to the hypothetical court case.
  • $50 fine, that's it. (KNU rock solid)
  • Aaron has to do an interview and in 6 weeks it's official.
  • Felony dropped
  • No court costs.
  • Doing pre-sentencing investigation, to make sure he doesn't bullshit or weasel out of it
  • Not a sex crime, no registry. It's a digital crime. (It's a copyright matter.)
  • Aaron claims ignorance of the law before this happened. But Aaron says ignorance is not an excuse. Aaron categorizes as a shitty fuckboi thing to do. (channeling his inner Cumia)
  • Aaron says he's very sorry.
  • Aaron claims everyone has been easy to work with- defense attorneys, prosecutors, judge(s), et al.
  • Aaron claims he has evolved from the person who did that a year ago.
  • A Minnesota "sorry" for the haters who didn't get what they wanted.
  • He did ask his attorney if they could win if they went to trial- his attorney thought they could without Geno and Kanoe, but it would be a risk.
  • Aaron claims justice has been served, in open court. (Is there a transcript?)
  • (Aaron appears to be drinking a bloody Mary - it's apparently an old-fashioned, without oranges... man his camera sucks)
  • Aaron claims the phone in the lake was a drunken tubing accident. He put his phone on a cooler, the phone fell of the lid when someone opened it- he got the phone recovered but couldn't reboot it.
  • Aaron says the $50 hurts him more than the misdemeanor charge.
  • (He's wearing a brown or maroon shirt. What is it with these qover guys?)
  • Aaron says it maybe could have been dealt with a "sorry", but emotions got involved. And he did it.
  • (A)DA were playing hardball and suddenly one day, the offer came up.
  • The judge accepted it today and it was read in open court.
  • Final sentencing thing in June. Meetings in May and meetings in June.
  • Aaron feels lighter, claims it's not a win. He did it.
  • Dabbleverse b.s. I'm not summarizing
  • A chatter brings up the potential CFAA charges against Nick R. Aaron claims no inside knowledge, just knows about two investigations going on.
  • He's going full Al Bundy on high school sports stories, not summarizing that
  • At least one person superchatted 1 KNU
  • The gag order on not talking about Kayla is still in place. He's avoiding anything about her in chat and hasn't said her name. (It seems likely this will continue on past June even? This is the real crime- Nick cucking us of content.)
  • Aaron implies that some people didn't want him to go to trial - I'm assuming SP, but could be the kids. Weighing the options, Aaron felt trying to take it to trial and getting off, would mean he didn't own up to what he did.
  • Aaron calls it a good and fair deal. He got everything he wanted. He did something wrong, he owned up to it today, and it's a load off his shoulders.
  • Aaron says he has a good attorney, best in the area. He doesn't feel fleeced, and doesn't regret a dime he spent- he would have spent more to get this outcome. Todd Peterson (sp). He also would have paid more (presumably had it gone to trial).
  • His lawyer came out with a bright face, told Aaron "We got it done, we got everything we want." Aaron then tweeted. Presumably the public entrance of the sentence was after this. Still done in 30 minutes it sounds like.
  • one funny chat:
    Felony Count: Aaron 0 - Nick 1
  • "All that for a drop of blood."
  • Aaron agrees with a chat that he violated the letter of the law, but maybe not the spirit. Reaffirms he didn't do the felony.
  • A chatter notes, "The best courtroom is the one you aren't in." Aaron's response, "Amen."
  • A chatter says Melton is literally crying rn. Aaron scoffs.
  • It's devolving into shit slinging, a lot of chatters bringing up melton. He is sniping Aaron:
    1744317935395.png
I can't tell if it's tears or just sweat.
  • Aaron says the terms of his bail will also apply to his probationary period. Aaron even claims he would have made it lifelong. (I assume just the no talking about Kayla.)
  • In response to a chat, Aaron says it was not worth it.
  • Boring boxing crap. I'm not summarizing.
  • Ditto the Melton engagement. (chatters wanting him to shit sling)
  • Aaron clarifies they have to do a full pre-sentencing evaluation. This will be happening maybe around May 22?
  • A chatter says 2021 Aaron would have made this 9x worse. Aaron appreciates it, although laughs at how he was.
  • A chat brings up a thing about Aaron showing more humility on this show than Nick has shown in a year. Aaron responds he didn't do this to compare himself to another man, and if he did, it wouldn't be Nick. There would be no growth if Nick is your bar to measure against.
  • Lot of boring boxing crap.
  • Aaron apparently wore a gay tie today (crushed velvet). Most of his good stuff is at the dry cleaners, and they were backed up this week.
  • He opts to get another drink. Watch him somehow turn this dub into an ell. This pretty much sums up everything STMS:
    1744319412148.png
  • Aaron just got another $50 chat. He's at least $100 up, even with the fine.
  • Shout out to the Farms. Aaron says we have a very healthy understanding of him; he takes the honesty more than the suck-asses.
  • Apparently 2 ladies and 1 guy were there in the galley, looked angry and got up on the plea reading.
  • No restitution. (Confirmed in the plea deal, downthread.)
  • Aaron's jumping on MLC with KB and Kanoe, so I will end this.
Rolling updates as it goes. It seems like he's in "filling time" mode, but I'll keep it going if anything else interesting comes up (or the edit window closes).

It sounds like the deal was not as cushy as he claimed, which is probably why he was dragging his feet.

I still don't anticipate much coming from it, although I'll note (as others already have) that the pre-sentence investigation was a "the court may" thing, not a "the court shall" thing and involved an actual decision. This isn't surprising since the guy has priors, and while they're themselves pretty minor offenses, they're fairly directly related to the kind of harassment conduct the prosecution was originally claiming with regard to the felony count.

So it was definitely enough to trigger a reasonable choice to have a PSI.
The PSI is required in felony cases and certain domestics, which is why Nick was definitely going to get one.

As far as I can tell, for what Aaron pleaded to, it's not statutorily required, however the state has the right to insist on a PSI because it's a gross misdemeanor. This varies by county and it's possible that it's just a general practice in Stearns County rather than Aaron being deemed particularly troublesome, but the fact that he has a previous conviction from last year for violating the HRO taken out by his ex-wife is a problem.

It really depends on what the actual deal is. If the conditions are not worth mentioning and its just the 50$ fine, then its a win.

He would have gotten off much easier here if he had not just accepted that dumb TRO from Ashley. (being on record for something like a TRO is not great)
As I said weeks ago, it's likely that the condition Aaron doesn't or didn't want is no contact/no mention of Kayla on his show. He has already shown with the Ashley thing that he doesn't do well under these restrictions.

$50 fine was read out in court.
The fine is the least of his worries. The terms and length of probation is the bigger issue for him.

Aaron has pleaded GUILTY to gross misdemeanor nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images in exchange for the felony charge being dropped.

Some people had speculated based on his use of the words "small misdemeanor" when talking about the deal that he was going to get off with a "petty misdemeanor" (basically a fine), but that didn't happen.

So is it a "gross" misdemeanor based on the crime, or are they saying the picture of Kayla was gross?

For what its worth, Aaron probably went to White Bear Lake High School near St. Paul MN. That is what it sounded like from the stuff he was saying on Rumble though he avoided directly saying it.

It is 2025, surely they have renamed it by now into something less offensive than "White"?
Like "Brown" or "Mixed" ?!

Is based on an Tribal warrior killing something "white" on an island in the lake. Because it commemorates the death of something white, its generally considered ok in Minnesota.

But Lake Calhoun got re-named to Bde Maka Ska.
And Squaw Lake was re-named to Manidoons Zaaga'igan Zhaawanong
