There's still significant engineering problems to overcome. The intense neutron flux from the reaction itself bombards the containment vessel, both weakening it and turning it radioactive.
This article (
archive) has a good summary of current engineering problems with fusion reactors.
And the money line is going down! Let the panic resume.
Sure is making yesterday's surge look like a dead cat bounce. Who's up for another round of catching falling knives?
People who don't like Alex Jones are either too dumb to parse, or too uppity to laugh. The guy is a fucking riot, and he does more research into shit than people give him credit for.
Never forget the government imposed Biblical sized punishments on him for the Sandy Hook shit.
That's the thing a lot of people don't really give alex enough credit for, that motherfucker has a deep knowledge of so much stuff. He's got a silly goofy presentation, but he's a smart guy. His Joe Rogan podcasts are some of the most wild deep dives into a lot of the tinfoil hat shit most people ignore.
I used to think that Alex Jones was just another crazy person who took too much drugs and now sees CIA agents in every shadow. That impression was based on what other people said about him. When I actually got to see him as a guest on a show I watched at the time, I realized I'd been mislead.
Alex Jones is
not stupid. He might not be super rocket-surgeon smart, he isn't an idiot either. Watching him on that video, he explained he used to read a lot of news and history. So he is quite well-read, and as you said, has deep knowledge of a number of subjects. You can't acquire that level knowledge if you have any measure of difficulty answering the breakfast question.
Alex Jones however,
is inarticulate. He doesn't have a massive vocabulary, and is not the greatest at expressing his ideas. Genuinely stupid people also tend to be inarticulate, and so this makes it very easy to dismiss him and his ideas, especially when what he's saying might imply something bad about what you have been told or assumed to be true.
It never gets old watching these retards insult people directly and then clutch pearls when they get it back.
It really betrays an upbringing utterly shielded from any form of negative consequences for their actions. Most other people learn as young kids that striking at someone, physically or verbally, engenders response in kind. "Don't dish it out if you can't take it," as the saying goes.
I would unironically watch an anime about Trumps ride from 2015-2025.
With as much partisan shit flinging as there is in the US presently, even a heavily stylized and exaggerated anime accounting of Trump's ride from 2015 to now would probably be a more accurate telling than anything that would come out of the US.
