What's the story with this shark becoming a trans icon? Are the troons so lacking in awareness that they not realize making their animal mascot a dangerous predator might not be good PR?
It started out as a meme on tumblr and then people realized it has the trans colors on it. They’re not the brightest bunch.

I can only hope they go swimming and get eaten by a shark. Poor thing, just imagine how awful they must taste with all the HRT if a normal person already tastes disgusting to a shark.

Meanwhile, another reddit gamer gets a fiancée AND a new fancy vidya toy...

Sharks are actually safer than dolphins, and that fact is what they're leaning into: "Sharks look scary, but they're safe! Dolphins look friendly, but they're rapists! It's just like us! People think we're scary but actually we're sweet!"

Other reasons for the Blahaj specifically:
  • "Subtle expression of femininity" - It's a shark, which is associated with boys, but it's a plushie, so it's for girls! Judgmental parents won't take it away!
  • The Blahaj is white, blue, and pink
  • Blahaj is big, so it appeals to the touch-starved and is less weird than a dakimakura "When you hold Blahaj, Blahaj doesn’t judge, Blahaj simply understands. "
  • "He is just too dam cute and awkward. Like us."

It's still a shark and liable to take your arm off if you pet it when it's hungry, just like a troon is liable to attack someone out in broad daylight at any time due to hormonal inbalance and a mental disorder. Are troons just going to ignore the irony of calling something else a rapist?
Hell, now that I think about it, Dolphins are overrated as fuck and annoying too. They're also much more dangerous than they look, as the troons pointed out, and love to rape everything in sight. Maybe they should be the official mascot for the movement, would be more fitting.

Look at sharks. Many people proclaim they were constantly misrepresented by media that they're blood thirsty beasts that eats and kills anything it sees but they're actually proven to be less than ""dangerous"" than how the media perceived them to be. Isn't that what the trans community want to see themselves? Groups of people just "misrepresented" and "not as dangerous" and are just wholesome little beans that don't attack unless there's blood in the water for them to grip and intensely sink their teeth into?

Nah. Let both the shark and dolphin be their mascots. A sharlphin. The ultimate transgender icon!

Neither a shark nor a dolphin, and yet both at the same time. Kind of like how they're failed men but pretend to be women(or vice versa). Yup, you might be onto something there!

Like the subhumans parasites they are, they feel obliged to infect and highjack everything to co-opt it into their cult. Most I could find about this is from this eybleach thread on reddit.

Shadowbanning is unfathomably effective at manufacturing consent.

Did you ever realize how the boomers don't see the most obvious issues, even with their own eyes in their own frontyard, unless the tiny man inside their TV tells them they have a problem? "If outrageous thing X were true, it would be on TV!"

It's the same for Reddit. Completely idiotic stuff goes to the frontpage, and not a single comment is deboonking it. Turns out they're all shadowbanned, so people did try educating others, it's just that nobody but themselves sees their comment.
I've been shadowbanned for:
  • Aggressively disagreeing with retards
  • Politely correcting retards
  • Pointing out objectively untrue statements which weren't even political (turns out I was correcting a mod - oops!)
  • Disagreeing that converting metric to imperial is akin to defacing a cultural relic
Yes, I'm serious about that last one.

Every so often I get the urge to make an account so I can correct someone who's simply wrong about something, but the urge quickly subsides when I remember that Reddit consists almost entirely of trannies ruling over dead, blighted lands inhabited only by bots and the occasional mentally ill woman.

Shadowbanning is unfathomably effective at manufacturing consent.
To my knowledge, shadowbanning isn't really practiced on Reddit to the same extent it is on sites like Youtube. Reddit mods usually prefer the plain old ban hammer. On most sites, shadowbanning is mainly done so the person shadowbanned is unaware of the fact they're being phased out of discussion and won't throw a shitfit in response. It's not just about keeping up appearances, it's about keeping people from responding to censorship because they can't directly prove it's happening to them. Another benefit of shadowbanning is that it doesn't rouse any contrarian tendencies in onlookers like a traditional ban can.

But for the hylics of Reddit (including the mods), there isn't a contrarian bone in their bodies; seeing dissent visibly banned or otherwise openly policed only appeals to their schoolmarm tendencies and entrenches them further with the orthodoxy of the herd. It isn't enough for the people they disagree with to simply not be present, they need to see them ban-hammered and scolded with a snarky, witty takedown that owns the chuds. It's the carnal desire to see your enemies thrown into the snake pit but gayer.

One phenomenon i've noticed ever since the first round of tariffs, is that almost all non america redditors (or rather those claiming to be non americans) casually and universally refer to the USA as an "enemy" almost as a matter of course.

https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/1jw3594/australia_turns_down_chinas_offer_to_join_hands/
https://www.reddit.com/r/europe/comments/1jw8qb6/the_thing_about_europe_its_the_actual_land_of_the/

They also have universally decided
-America is no longer free
-America is going to collapse soon
-America will have 0 sway in global politics
-NATO is over
-Canada and the USA are actively at war right now

In addition to being a reminder that they generally have no clue how anything works, and are dramatic emotional train wrecks, it's interesting to wonder. Do they really think all of this? Or is it just what they have to do to make trump look bad?

Either way it will be a pleasure to watch them stare in confusion and seethe as the next year plays out and Nato is still there, we haven't invaded canada, and more trade is happenning with the US, etc.

Surprisingly I DO see people calling them out for their bullshit and remaining in the net updoot territory, even if i have to sort by controversial...

Yeah that's why I'm keeping off posting on A&H since it's been overran. Can't imagine how bad it's on reddit.

Is that really Beyoncé? She looks like a white guy in tan makeup and drag. Sheesh
Video game burnout sounds so profoundly retarded. I'm a Video game enjoyer, but if you're gaming so much you start feeling burnt out on it then you're probably gaming too fucking much lmao. These niggas need to take a break, cook some food and watch a movie or something
Or get a job at least. Having a job makes me appreciate the time I play my games a lot more.
I would’ve honestly thought these people would hate Amber Herd, if only because of the fact that her antics water down the testimony and experiences of actual domestic abusive victims.
There's a whole subreddit I found ages ago (when the trial was still on) that believe 100% Amber Heard said was the truth and 100% Johnny Depp did actually happened, despite there being evidence.
Most of these posts are in the Detroit subreddit btw what Donald Trump and imaginary death camps has to do with Detroit is beyond me.
Living in Detroit is the death camp in question.

To be fair, reddit is not remotely grounded in reality. Like the vast majority of america haters on reddit are just americans fishing for internet points.

Ok, one more removed sanity chain, upvoted by the masses, removed for wrongthink:

"These people would say otherwise, but I'm not going to say who exactly, how exactly, or why exactly. Checkmate, transphobic Nazi!"
No wonder xis opponent got more updoots. The only one with a bit of elaboration was "athletes with lived experience," like they would be completely honest about their role in this and their intentions. Ask Payton McNabb about her lived experience, why doncha?

Almost every major subreddit these days has little to do with its name, and is only anti-Trump, anti-Musk, or somehow political. That goes for, for example, /r/therewasanattempt, /r/facepalm, /r/publicfreakout, well, except, a recent post to that last one seems to actually be a public freakout:

This could be staged of course, but some lunatic screaming obscenities and Nazi accusations at some guy for wearing a Trump hat does fit the subreddit.

But here are several top comments (there are 2000+ comments, so this is only a sample):
This should be happening all across the country. Make them scared again.
They love being pieces of shit to everyone else maybe a taste of their own medicine will create some forced empathy.
Normally, I don't approve of behavior like this, but this is what it has to come to. These people are scum and have to be made to be uncomfortable in public. This country will never get rid of fascism, racism, sexism, etc. But what we -can- do is force them back into the shadows where they belong.
love the energy. fuck you, fascist!
this was so satisfying.
They are supporting the guy following and harassing somebody walking the street. Isn't the purpose of the subreddit to mock freakouts, not celebrate them?

Of course, in true Reddit fashion, no distinction is made between Trump supporters and Nazis. Indeed, commenters who defend the victim are themselves called Nazis. Example:
Physically threatening someone isn’t freedom of speech, regardless of what side is doing it. The guy being harassed would be within his rights to knock the other dude out. Just because you don’t like someone’s politics doesn’t give you the right to threaten them. I know you guys won’t agree because you believe you are morally superior and can do whatever the fuck you want. But if the roles were reversed and some asshole was threatening a person with a Bernie hat on, they too would be in their rights to knock the right winger out. Waiting for the “yeah, but we are the good guys!”.
Paradox of intolerance you stupid stupid stupid dumb nazi motherfucker
Fucking stupid ass fucking nazi trump supporter

Also, lots of [Removed by Reddit], probably calls for escalation to violence.

Litrully it's immaturity. Immature people tend to luxuriate in fantasy. We used to call these people children. Their fantasies were almost always harmless. Being like that is a necessary part of brain development, of growing up. This is for very young children. Once they get a little older, 7, 8 years old or so, the fantasies become symbolic, not literal. They turn into entertainment, with the child being increasingly able distinguish the fantasy from reality. It's not that troons and those who simp for them can't do this, it's that they don't want to

When they say trans women aren't men, it's them saying their ego should overpower reality. That's a child's fantasy mindset. The cringe pink blob fish thing will pull out its knife and hurt the bad people. The shark will eat the bad people or turn them to ash with its laser eyes. Those are similar but not identical to the fantasy that men can be women and vice versa. Do these people think that knife-wielding cringe pink blob fish thing and laser-eye shark, that would happen in real life? No, but it's their childish wish fulfillment being put on display (which real adults would never expose to others, except as entertainment) for sincere, serious asspats and updoots. They refuse to grow up and demand everyone coddle their acting like 5 year olds

Whether that clip is staged or not, Redditors need to get new material. Sure, saying the same buzzwords over and over again is working for them. They're whipping each other into a frenzy, LARPing as men who lived through more than they could even imagine. However, it raises the question: do these people ever get bored? This guy here:

nailed it right on the head, and all they had was buzzwords. "Paradox of intolerance-" "tolerance" is one of the ways this country got so bad. Society "tolerated" the people Redditors worship, and look what came of it. Sure, Redditors think they're morally superior, and that it entitles them to do whatever they want, but all these people have to really justify it are buzzwords.

It's amazing that these people can exist in groups. I guess people were banned from sharing evidence and/or the group would have their go-to deflections for the evidence. I don't think Depp is a saint by any stretch, but Amber Heard was clearly belligerent, and likely lying or exaggerating about a LOT. This reminds me that I really need to read a book on cult like thinking.
