Over 75 countries have come to negotiate and 2 agreed to drop all tariffs on their end. That’s what I’d call in control
There are 166 Countries in the WTO. He's not even half way there. And the biggest players, the ones who's lack of imports and products would affect our economic health the most, aren't even in talks yet. This is a start, yes. but pretty

to say it's "in control".
Ok. Why don’t you love the tariffs?
I am fine with tariffs. Tariffs are a great way to equalize trade. What's fucking retarded is that we all know this shit is just about China. Fuck Canada, Fuck Mexico, Fuck the EU. They will cuck and break without much pushing. Most of the others are arguably pretty damn insignificant even in small groups.
He could have gotten to the
exact same point were at right now, if he would have just slapped 125% on China last week and began a 90 day negotiation period with everyone else without causing a global economic earthquake. There's probably no shortage of people who will jump with the defense of "You have to show them who's boss" or some other similar take. And that's a valid comment. I get it. You sometimes have to put the fear of god into people. And there's nothing Trump loves more than making people look at him.
But, as I said in an earlier post, this is a gamble and a risk going about it like a playground bully, shoving around the other, smaller kids around to get them to notice you. Piss off everyone else, act irrational and unstable and people might decide to hang out with the OTHER big ass bully on the playground, China, instead. They MIGHT decide that big ass bully America deserves to be taken down a notch or two and some crippling supply chain issues just might do the trick. Yeah, that other bully is an asshole too, and they stink, but at least they're consistent in their bullshit. I see this as a greater risk and gamble than if he'd just gone for China's throat right off the bat and held up Xi's corpse as a warning to others.
The only argument against that is the assumption that the other governments of these countries have empathy and won't allow economic hardships to befall them by cutting off the American consumer markets.
I don't trust a damn thing that comes out of this administration's mouth anymore than I trusted Biden or the first Trump admin. So when they say "Oh just be patient... 90 days from now, everything will be ok...", I am highly skeptical because rarely have those kinds of platitudes from a political office been accurate. So again... 90 days to flatten the curve.
