I want to say it was.... three weeks ago that people were saying USA/Russia/China were going to form a superpower and trump was pro china?
Speaking of which, I've heard John Mearsheimer say that "Every economist, from both right and left, has said that these tariffs will backfire catastrophically". You'd think he'd know better after these same "expert economists" said that the sanctions on Russia would obliterate Russia's economy in a month, and reduce them to a North Korea-like standard of living.

“Please replace me, I voted for this!” - the argument. You will be sent to work the fields as was the case living under the Khmer Rouge. If you want to compete with Vietnam in sweatshop production then turn your own home into a sweatshop and your family into slaves. That’s the true meaning of capitalism right?
Make up your mind you contrarian Chinaman.
Either AI is replacing all of us and we should onshore everything for national economic development, or we're going to be working in the fields.
Either AI is going to replace Vietnamese sweatshops or our family is going to become slaves.
This isn't about capitalism, its about our country, and you clearly don't understand.

Have you ever considered once in your life not thinking in absolutism? Maybe read some works over relativism?

What’s the alternative, nothink?

Ah, thanks for validating my previous statement. If you think Libs of TikTok is a reliable source
Tulsi Gabbard is the source
and not a Jewish propaganda mouthpiece then you’re already lost. Say whatever to please the masses I guess even if it’s outright omission of truth. Trump should’ve won in a 8,000,000,000 vote landslide if the machines weren’t hacked by Antifa.

The amygdala thing is wrong. Conservatives have a larger and more active amygdala which is useful for fear response/ threat assessment. A smaller/ damaged amygdala means you can’t produce a reaction to a threat, you can still feel fear, but it’s kinda retarded.

A mouse with a damaged amygdala will approach a cat without fear as it literally can’t make the connection. It’ll feel fear when it’s getting clawed and bitten, but prior to that it’s just a happy retard.
Imagine being so stupid that you can be proven wrong in a five second google search

Of saying that voting machines can be hacked? Like… No fucking shit? Do you have proof of it happening or is Tulsi calling the sky blue? The light switch on my wall turns on the light, China could have turned the light on while I wasn’t looking!
Pretty sure she’s saying that in the clip

Maybe it’s rhetorical, but she’s saying it phrased as a hypothetical in the context of a national security investigation while shes DNI.

I’m interested to go look up the whole presser anyways.

We’re prioritizing their neighbors like Vietnam to the front of the deal queue.
Vietnam caved almost immediately, and afaik, it's first in/first out from what I've understood.

We’ve heard from Australia that they were approached by China to betray us, but China pissed them off by sailing ships around them and conducting unannounced live fire exercises.
That was less about "America's our pal" and more of "We're just spreading our trade deals out for our own protection". At least that's how I interpreted Marles's statement. Certainly didn't sound like a "we got your back USA". However, if any country was likely to be so by default, it'd be the 'roo fuckers.

We don’t know 100% of the details, but the result is this naked emperor moment where China finds out they don’t have any friends, just a couple of vassals like Canada and Singapore
Exactly. We really don't know shit yet. Some of these countries could be in talks with China as well. Hell, I'd think they were idiots if they weren't because you gotta shop around.

Furthermore... we're kinda fucked in the sense that China can just hold out for 3 years until the next election. Cozy up with Russia and hunker down in societal misery.

It is absolutely 100% this.

The featured tariffs thread is literally* both viewpoints talking past each other.

A substantial number of Europeans/Center Left/Center Right do not understand using threats as leverage in a negotiation.

They may understand threats, but they don’t understand how or why they would be used.

Yeah that's a good point. Speaking generally, the "masculine" way of doing things involves (implicit or explicit) threats of violence or active harm, while the "feminine" way involves threats of social exclusion. If you've only ever experienced the feminine way, you might not grasp that violence or active coercion can come into play.

Note: I don't think being afraid of social exclusion is as petty as it seems. For most of human history being exiled from a group was so dangerous that it makes sense that it still evokes existential fear. Particularly for people who are more vulnerable away from a group, like women. In the past if your hunter-gatherer tribe decided they didn't like your attitude and kicked you out, you wouldn't just get hurt feelings, you'd starve or get kidnapped by another tribe or eaten by a dire wolf. A real one!

But the problem is that for some people, they're so far away societally from violence and other types of direct coercion that now, exclusion has become the only perceived threat. They don't understand the need for anything but trying to be nice and getting along at all costs.

You ever hear of the DEFCON convention?
View attachment 7204501
Would you care to tell me how long we’ve known this? Oh shit man, it’s been talked about at DEFCON for like… 15 years. That’s like announcing to the world the earth is actually spherical and expecting an applause. It’s not round by the way, it’s ovoid. And nobody hacked your stupid machines lol.

I believe they were betting very hard on this, wumaos were pushings it VERY hard on 4chan for a few weeks. One of the most autistic approaches I saw used some lesbian manga comic.
