Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Yeah, Dire Trip is as good as you're going to get in the modern Youtube era. I haven't watched that Wavvy Websurf guy in a while but he had a similar approach with either saying the bad stuff or being very sarcastic about not being able to say certain terms.

FoxAkimbo's channel is all over the place. There's some "trend" videos about things everyone talked about already and then these compilations by country. The one interesting idea (secret AI Youtubers) is 13 minutes long and he's begging Canadians to watch the new one on the community page. He needs to just focus on making like one good longer video instead of banging stuff out.

I think them covering child cases is mostly due to the cases being more shocking and tabboo than others, thus generating more views.

I used to watch his videos way back when he was still a new YouTuber. Don't remember what I watched but I thought he was a promising YouTuber at the time. But I've avoided his videos for years since he's clearly chasing on trends or things that's been discussed a trillion times. You don't despise YouTubers who uses ellipses with all their video titles enough but you do.

I can’t believe I’m saying this about a project genuinely called Giggleland, yet it’s going so above and beyond the other ARG slop, I’m genuinely wondering who the fuck is behind it. Like, the amount of effort being put into this is nothing like anything I’ve seen in over a decade. Fuckers even made an entire fake cloud hosting site just to act as the directory for like five other sites all part of a single puzzle, the highlight of which is this brewery site. Not to mention the entire little flash game they created, or the latest animated short:

Yet because all the dev/publisher info available are “in-game” fictional companies, nobody knows who’s actually making it. There’s some serious work being put into this thing, like this thing blows shit like the Poppy Playtime bullshit out of the water, it’s the most fun I’ve had with an ARG since the Year Zero/ilovebees days over a fucking decade ago, and it’s inexplicably all for an indie mascot horror game which kinda looks just mediocre? None of it adds up, it feels like there’s going to be some kind of major company behind this because it’s so weird.

Undoubtably, yet it’s difficult to compare. Welcome Home is a very small project ran by a genderspecial fag and a bunch of volunteers, whatever Giggleland is is like this major marketing thing. There’s a significant budget for it, even its first appearance was through a YT ad campaign.

Which still poses the question, who’s behind all this? This is an insane amount of work for a generic indie mascot horror in the way I’ve never seen, it almost feels like the budget for the ARG is eclipsing the budget for the actual game itself, which is insane. Like, the actual discovery doc (warning: Google Docs) is a fascinating read just because of how much there is to it, pages and pages of genuinely difficult puzzles the community needed to go through.

Tl;dw: A normal housefire happened with 5 children dead. Parents spend the next decade blaming everyone but themselves in it. Creating a non sensical conspiracy theory involving their entire community and Benito Mussolini that involves using a military grade incendiary grenade for a housefire, kidnapping the kids while the house is on fire without anyone noticing/hearing, and the fire department, sheriff and mortuary office all being in on it. With the only reason being that the father badmouthed Mussolini.

The main victims are the children remaining alive that had to spend years with their parents insanity.

Judging by how it says that "advertiser name hasnt been verified" and those two seem to be ads for some vtuber's donothons, i think it could've been just a name coincidence, it would be very odd if they funded a full blown ARG that doesnt seem to even feature or advertise their work (e.g Vtubers)

I also can’t seem to verify the info @Mental Chemical posted, as they don’t show up when searching it now. This could mean they’ve went and verified the account and changed their name since the image was created, as they have released a new ad which isn’t there.
