General Wrestling Discussion

they'd probably just make a new one in that scenario, but it also wouldn't surprise me if Tony continues to Fumble and is banking on Darby's survival of Everest for All In,
Rumor currently has it that Tony's given up on Darby and is now basically killing time until they can put the belt on Osprey at All In instead, so he can then run Kenny vs Osprey so Omega can "pass the torch" to Osprey.

It has occurred to me that Orton was likely penciled to be the winner in his match against Owens. With that match not happening, Orton could put over whoever his new opponent may be. It could be Rusev, who recently signed back to WWE, or someone that big win like Solo.
not sure, if Cody retains at Mania they will probably want to do the Orton vs Cody feud people have been asking for, if Orton gets a match at Mania they gotta make him look strong imo

Jordynne Grace is getting paid less in WWE than she was in TNA and she also doesn't have Onlyfans money coming in anymore. She's "betting on herself" apparently.
To be fair, WWE also has significantly higher earning potential than OF and TNA. only so many times someone can post ass and titties and winning the same belt over and over again before it gets old. if she wants to go into acting, WWE has loads of connections for that. So does AEW but Warner brothers have been pretty mid the past few years.
WWE have cooled significantly on Guilia and feel like the fans aren't really getting behind her either whereas they are very happy with Vaquer.
Guilia is out with injury, of course their going to make sure one of the future talents is good enough to recover before heading back to TV.

wouldn't it make more sense to run Kenny/Mox now, and then Kenny/Ospreay?

It brings a tear to my eye, you can tell how much he's proud of him and how much prestige he gives to the Steiner name even in this age. I wish nothing but the best to Bron.
It's petty but I'm willing to bet that Scott and Rick are proud that Bronn is organically over after having to put up with Ric Flair's dimeless shitter son in WCW.

Not saying that's a knock on Rick but David

I think you're right in that aspect.

And it feels good seeing that the end of all, the Steiners got the last laugh on Ric.

My prediction is that Cena wins at WrestleMania. He said he’s “taking the title with him when he retires” but he doesn’t actually retire until the end of 2025. Having him win (probably with The Rock’s interference, since he’s been strangely absent as of late), can then raise the stakes as Cody and other superstars then work to get the title back before it gets taken away forever. Cena can also get more heat as he’ll have had more title wins than any other wrestler. He will probably lose to someone at Survivor Series before the title actually gets taken away.

its not gonna get taken away forever in the sense theres going to not be an undisputed title, but Cena said they can go fight over a toy belt, so theyd probably just make an exact replica for TV, so its more Cody defending the pride and sanctity of the WWE Championship and not letting Cena walk away and ruin the proper lineage of it
That one fan with the "Cena Did Nothing Wrong" sign on the hard cam
I mean he makes a strong case, I still think Cody retains at Mania

I mean yeah but they could work the fans by taking the angle of the title possibly being gone forever to artificially raise the stakes, and they wouldn’t actually retire the title since it would be won back before the end of the year (probably Survivor Series since it’s the last ppv and therefore the stakes are at the highest). How can Cena retire the title with him just from a WrestleMania win if he doesn’t actually retire until the end of the year? Alternatively if Cody retains at WM then Cena doesn’t really have anything to do until 2026. He could start other feuds sure, but a lot of the punch of heel Cena will have dissipated and it would feel disjointed compared to a Cena WM win which would create its own saga.

I just think a Cena win makes more sense, but I could be wrong.

I think you can still do stuff with a heel Cena over the Summer even if he doesn't win at Mania, Punk already hinted he wanted feud with Cena, I think you could have Cena go full-pissed off mode and actively try to ruin wrestling via other means physically attacking wrestlers after WrestleMania and just going full on "im going to ruin this company one way or another" you can eventually give Cena a "wtf am I doing" moment to turn him Face before the retirement match

Kenny is too fucking toxic to be allowed another title run and having him put over Will as a challenger let's them minimize the damage of giving the ratings poison one more main event run.

The thing is that the Punk feud could still happen if Cena wins. Have Punk have a match for the title at Summer Slam (and lose) before Cody wins the title back at Survivor Series, or maybe vice versa. Also, people have been clamoring for a heel Cena for years, and the only thing better than a heel Cena is heel Cena as champion.

I think the ideal roadmap for the title after a Cena WM win would go like:

Backlash: Rematch with Cody, Cena retains.

Summer Slam/Crown Jewel: Cena faces another superstar (probably Punk or Reigns), Cena retains

Survivor Series: Rematch against Cody, Cody wins.

Regarding a face turn, I doubt WWE would want to retire one of their biggest historical babyfaces as a heel, so he would turn face after losing to Cody at SS (Cena going up and hugging Cody after Cena loses, which would callback to how the heel turn began), having been inspired by Cody’s determination to get the title back. Maybe Cena even does a match or two as a face before Jan 1st comes around.
