To tell you how easy it is to derail the thread and devolve it into a shit-flinging contest, post something heated once and if nothing happens it's because you happen to have had the right opinion at the time, so instead get someone else to post against your post (OFC you need a sock or a willing participant) and boom 100% success rate thread derail engaged. Every few months I look into matrix and the homeserver options always sucked. The only one sort of usable was conduit so I was aware when conduwuit was created (as a fork). Typical tranny shit putting uwu in the name. It's never not funny seeing how this always plays out the same.

Conduit got funding from FUTO so their dev is probably full time now, hence being the only usable homeserver that isn't Synapse. Matrix is such a disaster, it seems more closed off and fucked up everytime I look at it.

Depending on a project run by a tranny is like sitting on a timebomb. At any moment, without warning, they might just decide to abandon the project right there and then in a very dramatic and burn-all-bridges way. The project you depend on just became a liability to you. Congrats.
When they do, consider it a blessing if they just abandon it without first destroying it.

But if you did it is your own fault. Did you not do any due dilligence and check the project first? before you decided to make it a dependency for your own project?

But, if they can deliver on a good project without compromising its integrity, then I'm willing to turn a blind eye to personality issues they may have. Insanity can sometimes be the mark of genius, look at people like Terry Davis or Daniel of GrapheneOS, people who are both clearly really mentally ill, but who also develop unique, excellent things that few others can. I'm less spooked by people who are intrinsically motivated like tranny narcissists and moreso by people who are externally motivated, like the DiscordChatExporter dev that essentially ran a supply chain attack by plugging in code that fucks with you if you're Russian. Ironically, you gotta have a few screws loose to run a tight ship.

P.S. The only kind of tranny / schizoid I don't mind are ones who are really, really into privacy and security, hence the mention of Rowe & Daniel. FOSS extremists are good in my book.
