More info here.

I feel so deflated. I guess we gotta take shit day by day. We can't just go doomer because the media is saying one thing but shit changes tomorrow.
America could never become a manufacturing powerhouse overnight. It takes a long time for that shit to pop up.
i still wanna see total ccp death.
20% is still plenty. I think it’s like saying “alright we can’t actually fulfill capacity on all the phones being built, 20% will encourage Taiwan to reshore Foxconn or maybe move part of it to Vietnam”

And don’t act like it wouldn’t be a massive improvement just to see something like the 11% of US gdp being manufacturing grow to 15%, then 20%.

Lets just narrow the fucking trade deficit and don’t let your diaper overflow

By middle-class, I'm talking about your standard small American businesses that are dependent on foreign (especially Chinese) imported stuff. And no, most of them cannot simply "buy American" instead, because the stuff isn't even made in America.

There was a pretty good video published by some American business owner about why this stuff sucks. TL;DW: if you want to buy a similar product in America, you are going to pay at least 5 times more, and the product is still much worse quality than stuff made in China. And this is if you can even get said product, because most American businesses simply turned him down.

I'm not sure who this guy is but he's a retard. I genuinely don't know if this is the my dad's company situation or if he is a low level dipshit but he has literally zero understanding of manufacturing.

Every step he took was wrong and he complains about ridiculous things like "they asked how many we need." Yea no shit retard the VAST majority of the expense in production is setting up the process and tooling.

This might be breaking news but we have to rebuild our manufacturing sector and those businesses are getting thousands of calls a day. How can he run a business without a basic concept of supply and demand? Wild that anyone could think this guy makes good points.

Shit bro, you got any recommendations to read about that? I take a decent amount of those and I'd hate to become retarded.
Nothing specific I can point you to but if you want to do some digging you'll want to start looking at anti-cholinergic drugs and their effects. Afaik all the gen 1 anti-histamaines (including diphenhydramine and doxylamine which are the ones the average person is likely get their hands on, the rest you can get but if you want them but you have to special order them through a pharmacist, generally no prescription required) have anti-cholinergic effects once they slip past the blood brain barrier

They disrupt the function of acetylcholine which isn't even a lizard-brain neurotransmitter, it's closer to a proto-fish-brain neurotransmitter. That's the reason people tripping on benadryl start seeing spiders and shadow people and the hat man. They're disrupting something so primal that it goes back to the point where eyes could barely process shadows, let alone piece together shapes and colors

Current dementia meds have pro-cholinergic effects, so somewhere in that pathway something happens regarding dementia

I don't think they're dangerous to take occasionally, like if you get a runny nose during pollen season and that makes it hard to sleep by all means take some benadryl or doxylamine, but I'd at least move on to a gen 2 like cetirizine or loratadine for frequent use since they have a much harder time penetrating the blood-brain barrier (cetirizine is generally cheaper and I can't tell a difference between them at all, vs the gen 1s are all very different for me).

Personally I do feel more alert after almost completely cutting Gen 1s out unless I really need them. Their anti-histamine properties might only last 4-6 hours but the anti-cholinergic hangover definitely lingers for 8-12 for me

My main concern is that buying American weapons for our military is going to be a shit ton more expensive now. And European alternatives are not there yet.
!!!!!!

Do you think we have fucking China make missiles and shit!?

Half the manufacturing jobs in my state are like BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon etc etc

BAE has three or four different plants in neighboring towns

If China made our weapons, I would literally give up on being American and beg Poland to repatriate me based on my grandma being Polish

>March 20
Now that semiconductors are exempt from the tariffs I see no reason why nvidia would still go through with this.
Pulling out would look really fucking bad to Trump. Get played team green

They are already built in America. The chinks don't build our weapons LMAO.

I was referring to the overall effect of these tariffs you retards.

I don't cheer for you guys losing jobs obviously, because if American economy hits a recession, it will have an effect on everyone.

If our economy weakened like you expect it to from your doom projections, then our shit would be cheaper
Yeah, if you are simply thinking about how dollar fairs against euro. Instead of what the potential added cost of manufacturing stuff in America is going cause. All those specialiced minerals for an example, that America mostly imports from China.

American weapons are made with American components including American steel. The economy as a whole is now getting turned towards that model. Sucks for the dropshipper I guess lol.
HAHA, you really have no idea how much Chinese minerals the US military industry uses? For an example, tungsten. United States has ZERO domestic tungsten production. They are the largest tungsten importer in the world, and approximately 35% of that comes from China.

So yeah, you build your weapons in America. Using Chinese materials.

We only stopped commercial mining of Tungsten in the US in 2015. We have plenty of deposits. Get the eco terrorists out of the way and we will be back at it very quickly
