No, not at all. Because they are fucking BRAINDEAD MORONS who crave their own destruction. Because the endless fucking tranny brigade, because being a coastal elitist, and above all their addiction to cheap NOWNOWNOW garbage come above all logic and rationality. I did not know I could be this viscerally disgusted but here I am.
These are probably the same people that speak out against record profits by Corporate America while regularly buying cheap junk on Teemu and other related platforms because its trendy or some "inflluencer" insisted it was good stuff and something every cool person must have.
It
is difficult to buy American when the prices appear significantly higher and the budget is lean. However, it's also the right thing to do to encourage what US companies still make stuff to keep doing so because there's enough interest and demand to justify staying in business. I'd rather pay a little more whenever possible if it means the product won't fall apart after a short time because cheap products often mean corners are cut and quality has been sacrificed to flood the market with cheap mass-quantities of inferior goods.
While Cheap Chinese shit certainly isn't helping, Joann's got fucked over by the Venture Capitalist loophole. They got control of Joann's, sold Joann's real-estate to the VC's parent company for a song, who then rented the space to Joann's at a huge markup, siphoning as much money out of the company as possible.
VC should stand for Vulture Capitalists because they circle struggling companies before they're invited to swoop in to strip the company of its assets and intellectual property to let it die in bankruptcy while they keep the good stuff for themselves to sell to another sucker or hold onto it to keep competitors from acquiring the leftovers.
Apparently the proper term isn't VC it's "Private Equity."
Wordsmithing at its finest.
Since Trump has always been a media personality, it makes sense that there's a difference between how we see him in public and how he is in more private settings. There were always small hints and snippets of it during his first term. I'm glad someone with some reach and influence also got a chance to see that.
Trump the businessman, politician, or celebrity is going to have his public blustering persona. It's who he is in the public eye and it reflects what he believes in term of negotiating and deal-making.
When it comes to private matters, he'd definitely more subdued. In one of the last seasons of
Celebrity Apprentice I watched, one of the celebs was possibly dealing with addiction at the time. Trump actually offered to help the celeb enter rehab if that was what they wanted. As others have expressed either in this or other threads, Trump seems to have a deep down desire to try to help people as best he can even if his public persona doesn't always show it or make it clear.
Not in a single fucking way. They tried the exact same playbooks. Run a woman. Run a black, that worked before. Don't campaign and just keep her "safe" from any danger of showing her opinion, that worked with Biden. If we include abstract labels that worked before they'll work now, right? Right??
I'm convinced the Dems, having to come up with a candidate on short order, picked someone who ticked off enough socially-acceptable check boxes that appealed to their progressive voting bloc with the hope - and expectation - of a slam dunk victory on Election Day. Harris proved to be a lousy speaker whose only talking point boiled down to, "I'm not Trump," and did little to appeal to the independent and undecided voters she'd need to claim victory. Nevertheless, the Dems continue to double, triple, and quadruple down on identity politics and all the things that drove voters
away from both their candidate and even the party.
Work visas have always been a thing. In the case of agribusiness, there's H2-A seasonal work visas. For housekeeping, the H2-B case is a lot shakier.
I see no problem with foreign nationals crossing the border
legally to work these jobs if they have the proper visa/paperwork. Those that want to enter illegally and work those jobs should be told, "No." Either do it right if you want the work or not at all.
