So for context yesterday the senate passed a bill that would require proof of citizenship to vote, now it should be noted that other countries notalbly more liberal countries have similar laws like this, the reason why this law was passed was as a way to Comabt illegal immigrants from influencing votes.

The moment someone starts screeching about how something new or different is just so the government can "track" you is when I stop giving them any benefit of the doubt that they are sane or competent people. In case anyone hasn't noticed, that ship has sailed already in every 1st and 2nd world country on earth. You may not eat the bugs, you may not sleep in a Pod, but you sure as fuck can be tracked and found if a government intelligence agency REALLY wants you to be. However.... 99.9999% of the people in this world are wholly irrelevant to these systems even on their worst day and they aren't that important to anyone.

And more information about who they are and what they do in life is gathered daily by advertising and marketing mechanisms than any government agency could ever dream of.

The resource shortage exists because we are not allowed to exploit them. The US does not exploit lithium/rare earth minerals because the process is not environmentally friendly. Which is another point on the "Le Trump Good" chart.

The thing about rare earth metals is that they're legitimately hard to mine for and separate and you need years of extensive investment into very specific type of infrastructure before you so much as break even. The US and Canada have probably far more than is currently known but the cost of operation isn't something any private company can shoulder unless it had Nasa tier support.

This is referring to a time when total turnout was around 10M, eligibility to vote was far tighter, no TV, and no smartphones swaying opinions. And even then the races were still tight.

I don’t see 30 years of any party holding the US even if the country is “perfect”.
