Dead by Daylight and other Asymmetric Slasher Games - Discuss the games and the autistic/entitled communities around them

The new killer must be pretty popular since there's really long queue times today, wouldn't be surprised if he gets nerfed since a lot of survivor mains seem to really not like him.
Half of the community is throwing a fit crying about him being OP, the other half is saying "he's new, wait at least couple days". He's not really an M1 but neither is he an S-tier. I don't know where I would put him, but for sure he isn't just a bully victim like M1 killers.

The only thing I would consider changing for now would be the free Bamboozle addon. The counterplay to the chink is to play the closest tile as shift+w is very punishable, but if he uses this addon there's little you can do. He can already fast vault with his power, so he basically gets an extra perk slot with this:

Vecna has a Bamboozle addon, too, but: it's an Iri, it's harder/more costly to activate and without it vaulting windows with his power is often useless against competent survivors. This one just seems a bit too good and wouldn't be surprised if it gets changed.

So there's a Blood Moon event going on and people are reporting that the event is completely fucked up for killers.

There are blood generators (4 out of 7) which are immune to killer powers (pig traps, freddy's tp, knight's guards etc + some addons which affect gens), any gen slowdown perks, perks which proc on gen completion (fire up, coup etc), any perks which activate on gen kicking (nowhere to hide, trial of torment etc). Of course same goes for survivor loadouts, but it barely makes a difference. You can still run the meta builds freely with little restrictions as very few require gens to work.

I was at loadout screen struggling to find any perks which aren't just turned off, either fully or partially. Took me a few mins to find any 4 perks that weren't meme tier. It was just constant "this perk looks interesting, oh nvm it won't work in this mode". There's so little choice in killer builds that you must go full aura/hex/end-game, nothing else. And any killer below S-tier will have serious trouble keeping up unless the survivors are half-asleep and running into walls.

Very trash event from killer perspective and I'm surprised people are queueing for it at all. Guess I'm sticking to survivor lol.

In another news flashbangs are supposedly fixed and of course some self-described toxic survivors are calling it a nerf, as expected.

Another bug I've found is delayed pallet stuns - I'll respect the pallet when it gets thrown, but then when you try to loop and get too close the stun effect hits you. Even minutes later. Totally bullshit.

Yep, but I'm just using it to get a few cosmetics and rift points. Its fine for farming.

The new event is the worst event they have ever made in the history of the game and is intolerable for even a sweat like myself. I can't imagine the average killer is in a match for more than 2 minutes because of how stupidly survivor sided it is. This event is a complete joke BHVR just wants to bribe players with bloodpoints to play their shitty generator rework alpha.

Not only is there no new gameplay for killer but they actually remove the mechanics from you. 90% of perks are outright useless, powers don't work etc. People joke about killers being there just for survivors' fun and this is actually the case in this event lol. It's objectively worse than the normal mode.

And they don't even get the plausible deniability, because they gave killers absolutely nothing.

Look at the highlighted text. They're doing exactly what everyone has been against, trying to buff solos to SWF level while giving killers nothing in return. So not only do you get shitty totem spawns in the open, but now people get auras on them lol.

I play solo exclusively and never have I had problem with totems. It's 100% targeted at appeasing the new FNAF players. Maybe they should also add minigames during loading screens or while hooked so they dont need to look at tiktok on phone? I hate how modern gaming is just about appeasing the lowest common denominator.

Literally just minor QoL changes that should have been implemented AGES ago, minor nerfs to the pitbull Shaniqua and nerfs to a perk literally no one was complaining about. I guess the haste and hindered changes are ok, no more hope + mft bullshit (7% on hope is still busted though). But it just kills a lot of the fun synergies like clown + forced hesitation.

The devs only removed stackable Haste & Hinder because it would be too much work calculating the next Haste/Hinder perk/addons.

Nothing about lowest dominator and new player crap. Just less work and thinking for the developers.

Try using Sadako. Survs can't carry a blood can and a tape at the same time. I loaded up on lightborn, fire up, NOED, and No Way Out and it's working reasonably well.

Why would they do that, it was just sitting there, innocently. I've never seen it used much at all, and really only ever as part of some gag challenge to get all five totems lit. Which is basically impossible - the whole point of having it front-loaded like that is because you'd rarely get more than one lit Pent totem at a time anyway. The survivors have to cleanse a totem first, so they already found its spawn, so of course they'll go back to cleanse it for good. I mean really, just totally unnecessary. Plus it has an aura now too? Are they going to add that to all the Hex perks? This is stupid, stupid.
