i was hatewatching for like 20 mins on my lunch break and found these 2 lolcow moments live.

Blue prince isn't a puzzle game as much as it is an RNG game with mini puzzle elements.
People are painting it as the second coming of christ, but when you realize what its doing its not that fun anymore.
The game basically holds information to progress from you by getting the right RNG rooms to find data you need So its luck of the draw and conserving / getting lucky with materials you need.

We have to be somewhat careful to not just find nitpicky shit to complain about. If you try hard enough, you can be contrarian about anything. But the mushroom shit, oh boy...
As for the puffball mushroom, I remember I used to forage mushrooms with my grandpa in autumn. It's a great hobby if you have access to suitable nature, and while there are books on it (get one written before AI existed), I do suggest taking someone with experience the first few times.
Those puffball mushrooms are safe in that there are no deadly mushrooms that can reasonably be mistaken for them, unlike eg death caps that can look exactly like grocery store mushrooms, but kill you.
Puffballs are also really bland. They taste like nothing, so you kind of use them to "stretch" the mushroom stew.
The puffballs grow huge, but they are only fleshy while not yet ripe. When they are ripe, they become very dry and hollow inside, and when you step on them it's like popping a balloon filled with spores. The one Jason is holding is halfway there.
My grandpa never allowed me to take more than ~20% puffball, because the stew wouldn't be as good. He also taught me to only take what I will eat and enjoy; otherwise better to leave it so there will be more next year.
Now while you could probably make something from only puffballs, if you were to use black girl magic and season da food, you would NEVER EVER use the puffballs themselves to season something?? Lmao that's like using rice for seasoning. What? This fucking idiot.
