AI is gay faggot Silicon Valley garbage but it's here to stay. It's easier, cheaper, and quicker. Although there are plenty of artists that perform at the level of or better than AI, they're much more expensive and slower, so the value proposition for 90% of people is pretty obvious, and the fact is that while there are good, great, and excellent artists, most "artists" are flat out worse than AI, just check Deviantart or Twitter. Some are better than AI, but most are worse.

I'm sick of seeing AI everywhere too, I'm sick of the subhuman nigger slop shit, and I think there's a good chance it'll be bad for all of us in the long run (forget about artists, I mean all of us), but the incentives are way too powerful for it to go away. Even though I hate AI, some fun stuff still comes from it, so whatever.

there is only 2 ways to make art,
one way is the intuitive approach, where you have no fucking idea what you're doing, never saw a picture in your life,
and make something anyway without thinking. the second is going off study and rules that you've picked up over the years.
AI is stuck in the 2nd way (which isn't entirely true since AI only trains off finished pieces handpicked by non-artists) , that has a glaring issue it can't escape alone.

I can't give Synth any advice that he would listen to, even if I had his ear, most of his problems are caused by his willingness to be miserable and his revulsion to doing anything about it. I tuned into part of his doomer hour session, and he insulted someone for saying becoming a Christian would help, because he thought they meant he should continue everything else the way he's been living, except that he should accept some purely intellectual belief. I wasn't around at the time but apparently he called Arkoo a pedophile for suggesting he should get involved in his community. Taking up religion, even bad religion, would help Synth tremendously, as would a more active lifestyle and real social interaction, but at the end of the day it's too painful for him to start going to sleep at a reasonable time, to stop masturbating, to deal with people in real life, and many other things.

that's not really the argument here,
what I'm saying is someone creating something despite their limitations and autism, is a completely different beast to just using AI and not even trying to collage whatever it spits out in some way. (like matte painting) Art isn't the finished result, it's the process, AI can easily fit into any process, but it would require someone to both physically/mentally plan it into a piece, and they would need to have a specific purpose in mind to get the most out of AI.

this whole "you can do NOTHING about AI" is a bit odd to hear when artists can use it too, and have used it in far more clever ways compared to someone who's just hitting generate all day

Synth seems to think that he would be major reivewer with millions of subs if it wasn't for him being "shadow banned". Truth is jewtube wanted him gone they would have american kroganed his ass. His only value to the plattform is his shock value so that leftist can wheel him out from time to time to throw tomatoes at him and his arguments are often so poorly formed that even tough they contain truth most will dismiss it as racism. Now I think he serves a purpose in that he's one of the few who actually speaks his mind and is willing to hold an unpopular opinon. The KCD2 review comes to mind where i saw no other reviewer deal with how much of downgrade the sequel was and how woke it was. But I don't think he would have med it very far in a healthy media landscape.

His channel would also be much better off if he actually released videos on time. I bet KCD2 video would have hit a million plus views if he released it a week or two after release instead of 2 months after the dissucion about the game died down.

Didn't mean to say they can't. They should. My original reply was to a different person and if I understand well he ment that using AI is hypocritical if you complain about slop. Humans are capable of making slop without AI, just slower. I want to believe good creators will rise above and AI will enable people to make passion projects with less time and money investment.
