Community MLM on Tumblr - Slash fangirls pretending to be gay boys

They want to be anime boys.

I hate when tumblr latches onto terms like mlm, because it was a really nice shorthand way to include both gay and bisexual men in a sentence without having to type it out fully, but now when I see it all I think of is... this shit. It happened with "spoons" too, not to mention all the -ism's thrown around with nout a care in the world.

at least these people avoid me because I don't draw uwu kawaii bishies and look like an actual gross cis man. a small blessing, at least.

It's really sad to see these peeps building their whole identity around "loving boys uwu"... plus if they feel like they have to add their prounons on every selfie and remind everyone of their gender and sexual orientation, it's pretty telling that this is all just play pretend. Most people who are actually trans don't flaunt it like that, they precisely don't want people to know they're trans. (not that these so called mlm are actually trans ofc).
I think it's pretty common for teenage years to be the time you question your sexuality/gender because your body goes through so many hormones variations. But the problem here is that instead of letting those "issues" solve themselves with time, these girls find those stupid ""mlm"" positivity blogs where they're told it's okay to say they're a boy if they like yaoi and have short hair. Even though they've never heard of "body dysphoria".

I'd like to see some of these ~~kawaii soft boys~~ try and hit up guys at a gay bar, but most of them are underage so not going to happen for a while.
Man, they would hate it on the gay dating scene. They like to think the gay lifestyle is like some yaoi manga - it's not. It's everything they find icky about boys squared. Instead of one horny dude trying to get his end away, it's two.
