Exactly. I think Disco Elysium is just being propped up by 1 single guy donating every stream. We saw this crap with Baldur's Gate 3. I consider DE to be one of the 3 games I'd recommend non-gamers play, which is probably why this single guy is funding the whole thing. Don't know why, not like Phil is gonna say or do anything interesting and you can buy the game yourself for 40 bucks. But, you know.

Also, just want to add, I hate how everyone thinks that every random nobody is OIC. Is OIC still around? Yes. We can see this with the LisaLou donos and all the LadyCharisma shit. I think OIC nowadays does more Anon tips if anything. Could OIC be propping up the DE playthrough? Maybe, but there's no evidence. But everyone needs to stop thinking OIC is every person, cause what happens is everyone will claim new whale is OIC, then when you do 5 mins of digging you see that they're just a loser with a lot of RL info proving their not OIC on the internet.

I also think it's pretty stupid how often people equate the anonymous tips with that particular whale. The reason why so many of them choose not to put their names on the leaderboard, and Phil himself has actually said this (rare instance of him being right) is because retarded detractors will, and absolutely have, harrassed his whales before. I'm sure he's glad for the extra obfuscation to hide just how few whales he is being supported by, but I can't really blame them. Between the harassment and the fact that they know it's an embarassing thing to advertise that you donate that much to a streamer, if I were them I wouldn't want my name on there either.

Yeah it's crazy that he quit more games than completed last year, all this to avoid narc injury because people make supercuts of his incompetence in TIHYDPs and it's basically killing his channel

Yeah that's another bad term. Fake means not real. If Phil gets money, it's real. 100% Phil is getting pre-arranged donos. We saw a few weeks ago where he was like "We need to hit 900 bucks this stream!" and the next day he gets whaled out by a nobody, so probably arranged to make up the missing amount the next day if he begged like crazy. I can guarentee you that Phil expected to hit 3k on his birthday stream since Ken likely pre-arranged it. The problem was was that Ken's credit card got declined.

Does Phil actually fake tips in the real sense that he's making up imaginary money? If he does, it's likely rare like "We need to hit this goal tomorrow so my wife doesn't have to cook". I doubt the disco tip last night was in any way fake.

Good point especially with the quality of his build. Obviously, it's because he doesn't know the specs. Phil was asked about the processor and he had no idea what it is. He could list all the RGB specs, at least.

There were plenty of times years ago when people assumed a whale would swoop in at the last second (because everything must be a prearranged tip for the guy who is too lazy to make his own thumbnails or do anything himself) and it didn't end up happening.

To be honest that sounds like what anyone with a moderate ego would probably expect from livestreaming. Especially the ones that appear "good". Even if they don't come out and say it, that is what they're there for.
